Chadwicks Fine Food Emporium, Standish, Wigan

This is the first complaining review I have written.

This bar/restaurant has a early bird menu. Make sure you ask for it because it will not be offered to you as the staff do not know what time it is!!

That was the answer I was given after I had ordered (from the more expensive main menu) unaware there were other options, until another customer came in and they asked for it.I asked to change my menu and was told that it had been ordered and couldn't be changed. Thinking it was only minutes into the change of menu went along with it. I later discovered 'early bird' is from 4pm to 7pm. I ordered at 4.35pm. I couldnt understand why non of the staff new the time and asked this question. The senior there commented on my rudeness saying 'they had been busy all day (the place was empty when I arrived) and hadn't noticed the time.' As a customer I had come to relax after a tough day and be treated to complimentary customer service.A sorry would of suffice, but that wasn't on the menu. The food was okay if a bit pricey.
