Supposedly the month free trial, I cancelled after a week because the competitions they find are a bit lame. Nothing worth winning. However after cancelling on their on line contact form they still helped themselves to £12.99 after just one month not three. Fighting to get my money back now!

Signed up for a free months trial but didn't think it worth continuing so I sent a cancellation message via their website 2 days before the cut-off date. They still took the monthly fee despite the cancellation message and have not acknowledged me at all. They do not answer the phone or reply to the messages sent.

Very disappointed. Avoid at all costs!

Been a member for 6 years was good at first but has be come out dated have not won anything for 3 years website needs up dating gone a give it 3 mouths

if I don't win thing I will leave us I have found a free website with competitions

too many people have joined but wife keeps saying your got to be in it to win it was good not so good its needs improving

I had heard a lot about this magazine and so wanted to try it for myself. I purchased a subscription through unique magazines and eventually after a 2 month wait I received a copy of simply prizes magazine. I was very disappointed as the issue they sent me (which I had paid for) arrived half way through the month so nearly all the competitions inside had ended.

That aside I do actually think the magazine is a waste of money anyway because although there are quite a few postal entry competitions all the other ones are easily found for free by going onto websites like theprizefinder.com . There is nothing "secret" or hard to find about the competitions listed in the magazine - they are all listed on free to use websites.

What I also found frustrating is that with the magazine came leaflets advertising other competition listing subscriptions. They claim to find all the best competitions that are not well advertised and that have short durations so you have a better chance of winning. This is obviously a service you pay for but erm.....isnt that what I just bought this magazine for????

I have had great success entering and winning competitions for free on competition websites like theprizefinder and regret wasting my money on this magazine. I would not recommend it as I could have found the same information inside it just as easily and for free elsewhere.

I'm very dissatisfied as I do know many Lucky people win as this is a genuine opportunity to win prizes that you probably would not of heard of which is great! I though are very sad that I must have to say I have never won a single prize or had my money reimbursed and I really need to win as I have had my life and home totally ruined on a reaccurring basis! I'm also have a long term serious illness which in a way has managed to have people I can now trust around me that care but are not in the position to replace the many loved and lost items that have been damaged or stolen! However I are not a quitting type of person even though it breaks my heart I can hardly walk or dance anymore! Back to the magazine maybe they just forgot about me or maybe I'm just cursed but I would recommend others to try because they are a genuine Simple Prizes magazine and company and mean well and someone has got to win so take a chance and I am sure Luck will be more on your side than mine but that is just my misfortune not yours! I subscribed to the advice for 12 months and did not win, then I read that if you do not win a prize you are entitled to your money back so I wrote to them, the reply (from Verity)

However there is a 12 month money back with our Simply Prizes subscription and if you don’t win any prizes within the first 12 months of subscribing you are entitled to a refund. I have checked your account details and can see that your last subscription to Simply Prizes was taken out on 1st March 2012 (now ended) however you would have needed to advise us within 12 months of this date to claim your refund.

I would have thought that if I'd try to apply the refund during the subscription period that the reply would have been you still have ?? months left, not sure that the refund actually works.

Read up on a lot of other companies,this seems the best for what I want. Very easy to join,the best thing is they don't give out your E mail addresses, so it is not intrusive.

Like the format of the advertising,very easy to join on line.

I've never entered competitions before but I was impressed by the number of competitions Simply Prizes gives you the details of - from all the info given including closing dates - were & how to enter - plus all the answers. So there is no excuse now not to enter after all you have to be in it to win it. So I'm now looking forward to having fun entering and the hope and expectation that I may one day win something.

Great magazine - lots of competitions and freebies.
