Hedroom, Hedroom

I'm guessing you, the reader falls into one of two categories, you either know the band quite well or have never heard of them. Just to qualify myself I had never heard of Hedroom till a friend gave me their album to review. They are an up and coming ska punk funk rock band from Britain. As I was listening to it I was trying to think of bands that I could compare them to, to explain their sound, however their style is so diverse the list soon became very long, anyway here it is; Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Placebo, Fun Lovin' Criminals, No Doubt, The Brand New Heavies, The Mighty Mighty Bostones and even Jamiroquai. They cover all range of subjects from Apostles to the inconvenience of Morning wood. I have to say Mourningwood was my favourite track on the album, catchy and witty. I'd like to see these guys make it big because with a bit more work and more professional production they could be something quite special.
