T-Rex, Bolan Boogie

By the lack of reviews for this album I guess many of you may not have heard it. But I am sure you will have heard of the late great Marc Bolan and his band T.Rex (Marc died in a car crash 2 days before his 30th Birthday in 1977).

Marc had a very unique voice, very unmistakable. T.Rex had many hits back in the Glam Rock days of the 70's and several excellent albums, this being the very best as far as I am concerned! Tracks included "Ride a White Swan", I remember seeing T.Rex perform this for the first time on TOTP as a young child, I was hooked!! Then there was "Hot Love", which hit the charts big time. Followed by "Jeepster", another classic. "Raw Ramp" was one of my favourites, though not released as a single. The lyrics Marc wrote in his songs were very unusual!

This album is still available, I have the original vinyl complete with crackles but now on CD it is still as brilliant and unique as it ever was.

Though Marc is no longer with us in body, he will always be with us in soul, he has left us a precious gift for all time, his excellent music, that which will never die.
