Behringer Ultrabass BX1200

Cheap and very good sound. Lighter in weight than other amps of the same wattage.

I find the tone (always in combination with my J bass) satisfying, the EQ is enough and the twin channel with the foot switch gives enough options, the on board DI is a good and useful feature as well. Try it with your bass before you buy it as the aluminium speaker might not satisfy everyone.

I only use this amp for worship at church, It's not my own, the church owns it. Soon I'm going to bring in my own as it is so terrible. Please, if you're buying it for anything public, don't. If youre using it for practice on your own it (1) has too high wattage (2) hums (3)is ugly (4)may hurt your ears with a horrible tone.

I've got this amp and use it for smaller gigs its great value for money, and the amplifier is very good,

however i have changed speaker on it to fit my music. The original speaker did not cope very well after a lot of loud sessions with my B string, however after changing the cone it sounds great but the added cost is a pain but definitely needed.

Behringer Ultrabass BX1200 is an incredible amplifier, very loud and clean sounding, you can pump it up to full without fear of it dying, because of the enormous power supply, incredible tonal range, floor shaking power, heaps of different inputs and outputs, very flexibly designed, it will do anything from studio to stage. I have had it for almost three years, and i have played it very loud for the whole time and it's as good as it ever was. The annoying thing is the weight, but it's actually smaller than most other 120W amps. Who says Behringer is a budget brand? It sounds pretty amazing to pros and beginners alike, and all this for AUD$399. Would recommend to anyone!
