The Swansea address is just a postal address, the company is based in Birmingham and went into Liquidation on 14/11/2012.
Fantastic news about time
A Big Scam
my husband was contacted by this company in june 2012. He paid them nearly 900 pounds and was told they could clear his credit card.He was told it was no win no fee.Over the last six months my husband phoned them a few times and was told the same thing that the claim was being processed. He then recieved a letter recently from credit clear services stating that consortium Ltd had referred his case to them. Alarm bells started ringing then, when they wanted another 149 pounds. I told him not to pay it, as he had paid enough already.I decided to get some advise and contacted claims management regulator who informed me that consortium reclaim are in administration. We feel totaly let down by this company and now have another 900 pound of debt to try and clear, although we were advised we could try and claim money back from credit card lender But not holding out much hope.
I got my money back from Credit Card Company this Company are the scum of the earth
Don't Give Any Details Over The Phone
I stupidly was talked into giving my details over the phone, once i got of th ephone I cancelled the same night by email and called th enet day to say I did not want to go ahead with the claim, they had already taken £1000 out of my account within 1 hour of calling me for a fee which they said would get put onto the balance they would claim back.....I had not signed any paper work not even recieved it. I eventually got my refund a hand written cheque( not put it in the bank yet so it better not bounce) 1 month later. I never ussally get conned by cold callers but they were very reasuring and very fast and caught me unawares when I had just got out of hospital after a big operation.
Whatever you do, dont touch this firm. I was cold called. And stupidly i let them take money out of my account. Although i cancelled next day, it took a month to get my money back. After countless phone callsand emails, letters. They are a nightmare to deal with. Best advice i could give to anyone thinking of dealing with them. Is DONT !
Beware Of This Company
I WAS COLD CALLED BY THIS COMPANY ON 19TH APRIL 2012 OFFERING TO CANCEL MY OUTSTANDING CREDIT CARDS DEBTS 3 DIFFERENT MEN TALKED SUPPOSING TO BE ACCOUNTS AND A MANAGER AND THE COLDCALLER WHO TOOK THE CALL I GAVE THEM DETAILS OF ONE CARD I HAD TO HAND THEY SAY NO WIN NO FEE BUT £881.91 WAS QUOTED. AN EMAIL AND CONFIRMATION WOULD ARRIVE IN THE POST FOR ME TO AGREE AND SIGN, THE PHONE CALL FINISHED AT 7.45PM THE MAN SAYING THE OFFICE CLOSES AT 7.30PM AND WILL CALL ME IN THE MORNING FOR MY OTHER CARD DETAILS. I CHECKED AND NO EMAIL BY 10PM I RANG MYCREDIT CARD COMPANY AND AT 7.50PM £881,91 WAS TAKEN BY THEM. I RANG AT 10.15AM FROM MY MOBILE REQUESTING A CALL BACK THEY RANG MY HOME AND SPOKE TO MY HUSBAND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL I GOT AN EMAIL AY 10.40AM AFTER THIS, I WAS FURIOUS RANG AT 11.30 SPOKE TO THEM THEY COULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY FOR 14 WORKING DAYS AFTER READING THEIR REVIEWS THE NIGHT BEFORE I DID NOT HOLD ANY HOPE OF THIS. I POSTED 2 RECORDED DELIVERY LETTERS AS THERE ARE 2 ADDRESSES IN SWANSEA TO CANCEL ANY DEALINGS WITH THEM. I DID RECEIVE A CHEQUE LAST WEEK AND IT HAS CLEARED I WAS VERY LUCKY BUT I THINK HAD I NOT CHECKED WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY I WOULD HAVE BEEN UNAWARE OF THIS UNTIL MY BILL CAME IN THE POST GIVING THEM TIME TO SAY THEY ARE NOW WORKING ON MY CASE AND NO REFUND WOULD BE POSSIBLE. NEVER WILL I BE TAKING CALLS FROM COLD CALLERS AGAIN PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.
Thank you for writing this. I was rung yesteriday by this company and although it was tempting I am a suspicious person. I have not heard of this claim. I told them I would research on the net, and they could ring me back. I think I will now block the number. So thanks for confirming my suspicions.
Thank you for writing this as I was called yesterday. I m a very suspicious person about giving details and said that I would check them out online, and so your review confirms my suspicions. Thanks
Consortium Scam
I received a cold call from this company. They make the offer of wiping your debt off your credit card sound very feasible. They then explain to do this they would require all your card details, which is okay but they dont explain that they will then debit your card an amount to start proceedings. Luckily I didnt fall for the chat, a big red warning light went off in my head when they asked for the security number on the back of my card. I would have been debited over £1000. When I refused to give them any further information, they start to get argumentative and mention the Ministry of Justice and direct you to the email they sent you and to their web page (anyone can set up a web page!). I asked if they were regulated and if so, who by. Since they mention they are finance services on the web page, all reputable companies are regulated by the FSA and they do not appear to be regulated, also people should be made aware if calls are being recorded for administrative or training purposes since this protects the customer and the company. Do not under any circumstances fall for their chat. I took the extra precaution of phoning my credit card company and stopping my card. Now that I have read the reviews on this web page I thank God that I took the steps to protect myself.
Consortium Rip Off
I approached Consortium Reclaim in March 2012 over a Halifax Unenforceable credit card. They got my paperwork on the 20th March, all signed and completed. They only sent the paperwork in to the auditors on the 11th April. Why did this take so long to reach the auditors?? Because of how long it has taken I have now been forced onto an IVA with Debt Free Direct because the minimum payment on the credit card went up, and I struggled to pay. Consortium Reclaim are now claiming I breached contract and wont give me back £894 I paid in good faith. Please do not use this company its more aggravation then its worth!!
Complete Con
I have also had a bad experience with this firm. Despite being told it would take 3-6months to complete my claim, that is, back in June last year I have heard nothing from them since December 2011. I was told then that there was 'pretty much' nothing else I could do unless I signed a form with a firm called Credit Card Services who would pursue 'the claim' Consortium Direct confirmed I had. There are many fine words on the forms I signed but they amount to a 'hill of beans'. I get no responses to e-mails or phone calls. I have re-read the form I signed and it looks like I will receive a letter saying I have no claim.
Thsi firm is set up to con large sums of money out of gullible fools (in which I include myself)and would suggest that if you wish to waste a lot of money use their services.
Totally Conned Beware
started this in june 2011 by a cold call like some people here was talked into doing a unenforceable credit agreement paid them nearly £900.00. they assured me it would be no win no fee and promised that i would get my money back. anyway they found 3 breaches to contract and as they got no full response from the card company forwarded my case to credit clear services (solicitors) who i had to pay a further £149.00 for them to proceed with my case in december 2011. have now received a letter from them saying no case so am now in debt for £5500.00. have phoned consortium to ask for my money back and they have informed me that as i signed a "disclaimer" i am longer a client of theirs and therefore not entiled to a refund. have explained to them that they did not tell me that it will go to solicitors or i had to pay extra money and as longer a client no refund. i think this is totally unfair as they orginal promised me that i would get my money back no mention if it went to solicitors that i would no longer be their client.
am at my witts end just wished i had looked on this before this all started has anyone got this far and if so any idea of how to tackle them.
call your credit card company tell them you wish to claim under consumer credit act 75. also call ministry of justice, i was out of pocket for £4000.00. the company was on longer trading as of nov 2012. i found a notice, it said consortium technology Ltd, which trades as consortium reclaim , dated feb 2011 but at the bottom of the letter it say's copyright 2013. so they have just changed there name a slip up on there part. the lady i talked to said they were looking into the company to try to get some money back for us, but said it unlikely. but they are the same company, they are now in swansea,
I two have had problems with this company, please someone stop them they must be rubbing there hands together easy money for them.

Thankyou For The Warning
I was contacted today by this conmpany promising to wipe out my credit card debt--would cost me £1052.16, and would get it back if not successful, thank goodness I read these reviews, when they call back for my credit card details they will be receiving nothing at all from me. So many many thanks for the people who have taken the trouble to review.
