Poor Aftercare Service

I purchased a sofa and wally armchair significantly more expensive than I’d originally planned, hopeful that spending a bit more money would see me have a quality sofa with a great experience from a company who must be trustworthy given the amount i was investing in this furniture.

The installation team were polite and friendly, however mistakes were made most of which we overcome on the day so I didn’t feel the need to complain about this. Unfortunately some months after delivery it became clear that the feet had not been fitted to my Wally chair which resulted in scratches to my wood flooring. I contacted the store and was advised to send my complaint with photos to the customer service team (which i did back in October last year).

Numerous emails have been exchanged between myself and customer services, none of which have sounded empathetic/apologetic about my experience or resulted in a resolution.

Many requests have been made for someone to call me or for me to be provided with a head office contact or someone to escalate my complaint to. To date none of this has been provided which i find extremely unprofessional for a company that suggests it is high end and certainly knows how to charge.

I am now over a year down the line since my complaint which sees me with no resolution, an expensive sofa, a scratched floor and lots of stress following saving hard to improve my home.

Only buy from this company if you are not bothered about professional after care should something go wrong.

Please note I don’t often write reviews and if i have a complaint i take pride in going to the person/company direct to provide an opportunity for them to resolve so as to avoid damaging a company’s reputation, unfortunately I am so disgusted with the poor treatment and lack of resolution that I didn’t feel i had any other choice but to write this review in the hope that others will think twice before making a purchase.

Disgraceful Service And Goods

Wasted nearly a year with this retailer as ordered two sofas back in October last year, got them delivered and were full of defects and a twisted mechanism, had several weeks to eventually get a replacement order sorted out. The replacement sofas also came damaged with rips on the leather and scuffs and that wasn't even seeing the full sofa. Had several weeks of grief to obtain my refund which they are trying to hold some of this back, total disgraceful service from start to finish, they have walked away from the order and I have dealt with half a dozen workers none which have the ability to make the relevant decisions and return my money. Disgraceful company who are a joke to deal with, arrogant abusive threatening and try to make you accept there pressure and poor products.

No Complaints With Our Experience

Managed to scare ourselves senseless reading the reviews on here after we had bought!! However, cannot fault our experience, on time delivery from a friendly and helpful team on the phone. Two guys who did great work getting the stuff through our narrow front door and setting it up. Delighted with our sofa. One of the delivery guys said that he used to work for SCS and there is no comparison to the quality of Natuzzi, the best by a mile in his opinion…..we have no reason to disagree.

We spent all day walking round furniture stores looking for a great sofa but was put off by annoying salesmen... but natuzzi was totally different ... kind and professional. He was great

Small Claims Court Needed

Please do not buy these unless you're convinced of a better outcome. The sales people are very nice, but I was not given the whole story of how to look after the sofas. I was however given the entire life story of the chap selling them to us!

We purchased two Portento sofas in a suede like fabric from Norwich.

You are meant to do so much to these sofas EVERY TIME you get up from them! This involves plumping and smoothing, plus pushing the fabric back into place.

The delivery men dropped the sofas, did not assemble as they should and left strap marks on them.

I was then told that this was not damage, it had to "settle"

One of the seats became so bad it was awful to sit on. This was after only 4 months.

I wish I had ignored the settling advice, as this put us past the legal time that would have allowed us to get a full refund and return them. They obviously knew that and did it deliberately.

The sofas are such a waste of money. So very badly made. Cheap pine and a bit of strapping.

We ended up going through the small claims court, which did not give us a great outcome at all. We wanted our money back, they refused. We settled without actually going to court (mediation was as far as we got). But that cost me a few hundred pounds.

We eventually had two chaps come to apparently mend the damage, but it looks awful. The seat is comfier, but there is an unsightly crease now where the collapse has permanently damaged the fabric. The damage from the strap is still obvious, and again looks unsightly.

IT HAS TAKEN US A WHOLE YEAR TO GET THEM TO DO ANYTHING! THEY ARE AN AWFUL COMAPANY. We are not the only ones either.

This is a tiny version of the hundreds of emails, visits, calls and eventually court to get them to put things right. But they haven't. We accepted just over £1000 and free repairs, but we already had the extra insurance, so it would have been free anyway. The sofas were meant to be £6000, but we got them for approx £4500. Such a waste.

We accepted because I just couldn't continue to argue with them. They dismissed us at every turn. It was a very unpleasant experience.

Go to IKEA like we used to do. Their sofas are so much better, and are a fraction of the cost. Only go here if you think the name gives you bragging rights.

Stay Clear

Stay clear, all the positive reviews on Trust Pilot have been made in store just after purchase

Firstly if I could give 0 stars I would ! We purchased our corner sofa 18 months ago and like everyone else we were asked to leave a review as soon as the deposit was paid, that’s how they get their high review rating, if you search for the one star reviews you will get the idea of the journey you are about to encounter.

Below is a summary of our 18 month experience with Natuzzi.

Foam on seats, arm rests and lumbar support all starting to lose structure and shape after 19 days of use. Contacted Natuzzi, they sent a technician to assess, he said he could put 2 inch foam packers in to firm the seats up, this was declined as after paying £6500 I thought this was unacceptable.

I started a section 75 claim with my credit card company. Natuzzis response was that we had ‘buyers remorse’ you will see this phrase a lot when you read the one star reviews. They also falsified the technicians report; the one they sent to the bank stated no fault while the original stated fault found, also the wording was changed to favour their narrative.

We was instructed by the bank to commission our own independent report, we instructed Bardale Furniture Assessors we found this companies name from one of the poor Natuzzi reviews. Their report stated that the sofa was not repairable and unfit for purpose, the credit card company immediately refunded our £2000 deposit.

A section 75 claim was also raised with the finance company, but because we was out of the 30 day return period we had to accept a repair. Natuzzi stated that they would repair the sofa inline with all the defects found by Bardale. The sofa was collected and returned;

All the seats and lumber areas had been stuffed with extra foam, this created a severely distorted shape to the sofa. We complained, no answer, again we paid for another Bardale report, again that concluded that the sofa was not repaired to a satisfactory standard and again stated that it was not fit for purpose. After we issued a letter before action, Natuzzi and the finance company agreed to a full refund, also they refunded all of our Bardale report costs.

This is a very short version of our Natuzzi experience, I have written this review hoping that it will stop you from dealing with this company, they lie to the point of falsifying their own report, please stay away, you have been warned !

Worst Company To Deal With

We purchased a sectional from Natuzzi and after a few years the frame is now bent. We had a technician come out and see the couch and agreed with us about the problem. Then we received am email telling us it’s a different problem and the 10 year warranty did not apply. I have called numerous times but they don’t care. I told them I would write a bad review and the girl told me to do what I need to do. Very rude.

I will never buy Natuzzi again. And I told all my family in Europe never to buy from them again.

Natuzzi Italian Recliner Leather Sofa / Chairs

Recliner and chair dosent work paying a large sum of money we paid ww expected it to last longer than 4 years the aftercare is very disappointing wouldn't recommend. Better off buying a cheap one!

Was told when we asked them to come out to take a look at the chair because the leather was torn they insisted the cow must have been a busy one and that was normal!

thought it was a joke should have realised then I made a poor choice took out extended 5 Yr warranty but turns out I'm not covered for mechanism or structure

Lovely Sofa, Good Quality

I'm writing this review because I was horrified to see the reviews having already ordered the sofa at Lakeside. It's so difficult for my husband and me to find a sofa that's comfortable for both of us, we've looked for ages, so having found what we wanted at Natuzzi Lakeside, we ordered it without checking the reviews. It's a non-recliner. The salesman was a bit pushy once we had decided on what we wanted, and included insurance for an increased fee without checking we wanted it. We waited a couple of months in a state of dread because of the negative reviews. The sofa was ready and delivered before the maximum time promised, so we were happy. We arranged the cost of taking away the old sofa with the company on the phone, it was £95 to be given to the drivers. There was no charge for delivery of the new one. The delivery company Store to Door was fine, the guys very careful and helpful. The sofa looked lovely on unpacking. The cushions are well-stuffed as you would expect, so we found it a bit hard at first, but I've got used to that, or else it has settled a bit, and we both find it very comfortable. The leather quality is good. It is well made and looks lovely and we are very happy with it. I don't care where it's made though the label seems to suggest the leather is cured in Italy and the furniture made in Italy. So 5 stars.

Showroom Visit Great - Waiting On Product Delivery

Excellent service at Watford showroom.

Very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. As a result we have ordered two sofas and await a reasonable time delivery.

Will review further on delivery, product and after sales service when appropriate time.

Are they definitely made in China? I asked the question in the shop today. They assured me the furniture is made in Italy. Really concerned, they are a lot of money.
