Where ???

I've owned and used my PP cordless drill for over 2years. In that time it has outlasted 2 B&Ds. If I could find a supplier I would buy 2 of them immediately, but where can I get them. They are not shown on B&Q website and they are not in local branch. Any help, suggestions etc. very welcome.

Dave, Hereford.

I Have The Performance Power Drill 14.4v From B&q

I have the Performance Power Drill 14.4V from B&Q (FMTC 144CHD) for over 5 years, and I have to say, this is one of my best drills ever.

I had a Dewalt drill once, but it's battery life was very short, last only 10 min. when needed.

With my Performance drill I can work for over 30 min. and it's still usable.

Because I do a lot of DIY jobs for myself and for my work, I bought another battery at one of the B&Q stores, and now I can work continously without a stop.

While one of my batteries is charging, the other one will do its work, just perfect.

At one of my working places, we had Bosch, Makita and Festo drills, great brands and you get what you paid for, but my little drill did cost me in total only 45 pounds (incl. second battery) and it still runs like the first day. Best Buy ever.

When Working, Fine, But The Battery Has A Short Wo

When working, fine, but the battery has a short working cycle and I cannot find out how to get a compatible spare battery at a reasonable price. The drill cost me £99.95.

This Is A Good Impact Drill, And At The Price That

this is a good impact drill, and at the price that they normally go, this is definitely a good value. However, mine let me down in the middle of a big job, the first I rely put it to the test - my best guess is that the 2 batteries I had started declining in performance very sharply within 24 hours.

Since it is impossible to buy replacement chargers or batteries without going to the manufacturer and paying almost as much as the item cost brand new from B&Q, I will never know which part failed. Like someone said, it's OK for everyone but the serious DYI but for those of us relying on our tools brands with accessories easily available are a better option.

I've Had Two Performance Power Cordless Drills For

I've had two Performance Power Cordless Drills for 7 years and they have been excellent. Good power, battery life, durability and exceptional value for money. Only problem is spare parts. As usual batteries cost a large proportion of the original cost and other stuff such as replacement chargers are hard to find.

Performance Power 14.4v Cordless Does The Job Well

Performance Power 14.4V Cordless does the job well, torquey and has electric brake. Only thing that lets it down is the poor quality battery. I suspect this is where the money has been saved....and cannot buy second battery!

The Performance Power Cordless Drill/screwdriver I

The Performance Power Cordless drill/screwdriver is very good value. The only disappointment is that the batteries run down much quicker than my previous Bosch. They also discharge in 2-3 weeks from full charge by them selves without use! Without the 2 batteries supplied it would be useless for any serious jobs.

I agree with this review because, I've had one for about three years and am a serious d.i.yer. i have however, not used it for about three weeks, because the battery charger's broken. where can i buy a new one, please ?

Performance Power 14.4v Cordless - If You Want A G

Performance Power 14.4V Cordless - If you want a good drill and don't want to pay for a brand then this is a good investment. I've had it over twelve months with no problems. A second battery would help, but they're easily available and every battery drill should have one - it's not a fault peculiar to this mode.

The bits included are cheap but serve a purpose, but the drill is solidly built and I haven't had reason to complain.
