I have found this an excellent bitter to have in the house for a casual drink. Outstanding value for money.

I have always avoided Morrisons Bettabuy Bitter, just because, being only 94p for 4 x 440ml cans, I have always thought it must be awful.

However, I had recently heard it wasn't all that bad, so gave it a go!!

Firstly, the packaging - standard extremely spartan red and white Bettabuy colours here, with the absolute minimum of labelling. Strangely, I think this has some sort of charm - very retro - and actually made me more keen to try the product.

The only reason I buy bitter is because normally the cheap bitters are decent as far as I'm concerned, while cheap lagers are unbearable, so any big bitter drinkers may not agree with my taste verdict, as I'm not sure it tastes like bitter should!

The general taste is actually very bearable, although exceptionally weak, which is to be expected, as the alcohol content is only 2%; hence, no good for becoming inebriated! However, this leads to the bitter being probably the most refreshing beer I've ever tasted!! It's got the refreshing qualities of soda water with a nice beer taste! It isn't too gassy, going down easily and not leaving a bloated feeling.

Overall, I would highly recommend you try this product - at only 94p any thing's worth a try, and I will definitely be buying this again. It's a nice thing to be able to refresh yourself with from time to time, without worrying about the pennies or the alcoholic effects. It's cheaper than water at that price!
