Sick As A Dog

Felt absolutely terrible the next morning after just 3 pints drunk over 5 hours. It was as if i'd had 8 Pints. I've never had a reaction that bad to that little amount of alcohol before. Perhaps it was a bad batch, but this was not easy on the stomach at all..

Established 1728 I Like That

When I see the good reviews for Frosty Jacks and Lambrini what can I say !! despair !! I think Aspalls is a different class, not understood by many hence I get the feeling its a bit of a Marmite situation, you either love it or hate it. Its a conniseurs cider and should not even share the same space as the afore mentioned two. After all established 1728 that says it all. Do you notice how company's have taken to adding this 'established logo' to their blurb e.g "Joe Bloggs plasterer established 2008" ..and..well....There must be an EU law or directive that prevents this.No company should be allowed to say "established since" unless they have been trading for at least 50 years.

Having said all that this is a cider for the cider drinker not the drinker and established 1728, that gets me. Lovely cider by the way.

Not Your Usual!

A classy refined cider for more experienced cider drinkers, those who fancy Strongbow/Magners (Pigswill) should stay away as the aging process Aspalls uses makes for a much more mature and lingering aftertaste with depth and resonance.

Nice Cider - Very Strong.. Odd Effects

Used to drink this drink regularly until I have recently worked out that it gives me a very different feeling after a few to most other generic ciders. I consider myself an avid cider drinker and it has been the only drink I have on nights out for the last 5/6 years.

Aspalls quite frankly gets me ruined everytime I drink it! normally around 6/7 pints of generic Bulmers or Magners would get me in a good state - however! Aspalls after even 5 pints I would be a complete mess, I would have a very unique hangover whilst drinking Aspalls and couple probably differentiate this hangover from many other types.

I enjoy a good drink - but would probably begin to avoid this Cider in the future as it is quite frankly a bit dodgy for me and I tend to get a bit silly whilst drinking it!

I would enjoy 1 or 2 but any past that is a now a no no

Makes Me Sick, Literally

When I first sampled this cider, I thought it was great. After about half a pint I felt like I had food poisoning. Thinking that I was having an off day, I tried it again a week later, and had the same reaction to it. I don't know why, but this cider has really upset my stomach. If you've ever had bad Indian food, your stomach will feel worse after having this cider.

In Style Is Old Looking, Brought It From Local Sup

In style is old looking, brought it from local superstore along with some other ciders for a party and it was the least favourite one and had a horrid after taste.

Not the best cider out there and wouldnt buy it again after buying a couple of bottles, will stick to the more main stream and frankly better ciders out there. Nice for a change I guess, but wont buy again.

As Some Have Said, Isnt Up There With The More Mai

As some have said, isnt up there with the more mainstream ciders about, seems to be a cyder for a James Hewitt type person rather than your average pub person. Is expensive in the local and doesnt taste good, too sparkly on the tounge and doesnt leave a funny after taste, looks to old designed as well compared to most cider brands going now, Aspall Suffolk Dry isnt one id recommened or spend money on, much cheaper and much better available than this.

This Is A Classy Cider, Best When Draught, Stored

This is a classy cider, best when draught, stored correctly and served correctly. It is pale in colour and should be served in a special glass, like a very large wine glass. These are supplied by the Aspalls to pubs that have it on tap. This Aspall Suffolk Dry is not heavy, not sweet and sickly. It is good as a pre-dinner drink. A good appetizer.

Too Expensive For What It Is. Despite Its Smart Bo

Too expensive for what it is. Despite its smart bottle and up beat marketing aimed to give it a certain cache or to be blunt snob appeal, it is in an ordinary glass just another dry cider not any better than many others.

Aspall Suffolk Dry Is To Old Fashioned Looking, Ex

Aspall Suffolk Dry is to old fashioned looking, expensive, not the nicest taste in the world, didnt finish the glass at the local pub as it didnt taste good, had a bottle as well once and that wasnt any better either, an acquired taste I guess. Prefer the main stream more popular ciders.
