This Is A Very Simple Kit, Ideal For The Novice Wi
This is a very simple kit, ideal for the novice with no experience of home brewing under their belt. There is no need to boil large quantities of water or ingredients. Simply warm the can containing the pre-hopped malt extract to make it easier to pour, empty the contents of said can into your fermentation vessel - usually a 25 litre food grade plastic bucket with a tight fitting lid - add a kilo of brewing sugar and 6 pints of hot water, stir well to dissolve the malt and sugar, top up with cold water to make 5 gallons and sprinkle the contents of the yeast sachet over the surface of the liquid. Loosely fit the lid and keep in a warmish place for 5 to 10 days. The beer is ready to drink when it's finished fermenting and it self clears extremely well. Having said that, either bottle conditioning it or kegging it and leaving it alone for some time, 2 weeks to 2 months depending on your patience, does improve the flavour of the beer.Provided you follow some basic hygiene rules and use sterilised equipment you should have no trouble making quite drinkable beer for less than 25p per pint.
