A Once Great, Now Awful Cereal
Why the hell have they changed what was a perfect breakfast cereal. Their sales figures may look good for a while as people stocked up after months of empty shelves…but they are awful now and my unopened packets have been donated to a food bank. I won’t be buying any more of these now awful, so called biscuits AKA, inedible large crumbs in a box.

Oatibix Rubbish
The last box I used was terrible, just loose flakes and nothing like the original. I have since bought another one, thinking it was a one off, but no, it is still terrible. I will not be buying this in future.

Change Of Oatibix Recipe - Absolute Rubbish
Loved having Oatibix for breakfast virtually every morning for years, I can’t believe how rubbish it tastes now with the new recipe, not only has taste changed, it’s nothing but load of large crumbs in the packet, not one good shaped biscuit in a packet of 24, old recipe biscuit used to soak up the milk to make them puff up and kept me fuller than a bowl of crumbs and milk, devastated, please go back to old reccipe or I’ll definitely be looking for an alternative to Oatibix. Changing a recipe is not always for the best, this change has been a wrong decision!! Disgruntled customer!!!

Oatibix Recipe Change - Total Disaster!
I loved the old Oatibix, and how it was firm (Weetabix shaped) biscuits that once the milk was added they plumped up nicely and were simply delicious.
Now, the new recipe is just a complete pack of crumbs, I didn't get one whole biscuit, they just crumbled before my very eyes - mess everywhere. They don't soak the milk up like they used to, frankly its like eating layers of corrugated cardboard.
I'm afraid unless this reverts back to the old recipe I will be one ex-customer
A Recipe Change Disaster
Having been a fan of Oatibix for many years, the latest change to reduce the oat content in favour of added niacin just does not work from a taste or texture perspective. The cereal no longer absorbs milk in the same way leaving the centre completely dry and sawdust-like. To be fair it is better than sawdust but only just! I can only hope the producers revert to the original recipe, or perhaps Lidl or Aldi might bring out a product based on the original recipe at half the price - I’d buy it
I couldn’t agree more. I had mouth cancer, Weetabix was too hard for me after extensive surgery but oatibix was ideal for me. It absorbed the milk making it soft, no chewing needed. On opening my packet of ‘new receipt’ oatibix I thought a mistake had been made in the factory-it looks just like weetabix and it doesn’t taste anything like the’old’ oatibix. I don’t like it at all so goodbye oatibix, you have served me well over the past 8 years but it’s scrambled eggs for my breakfast from now on

Yuck,yuck,yuck
The instructions for writing this review suggests that the reviewer go into plenty of detail. I might find this difficult as the new recipe it is completely revolting. I can find nothing good to say about it. I have tried all ways to get it to a palatable consistency but have either achieved a baby food goo or a completely dry dish of cereal. I have been eating Oatibix original for years. I will not be eating it anymore. Please go back to the original!

Just Not The Same
What have they done to it. After buying 3 pks of 24 I feel I've been done. They look different they taste bland and as soon as you put milk on the turn into a thick goo. Absolutely awful. Wont be buying no more

What Have They Done To It?
A once decent cereal is given a bland, disgusting flavour with a funny after taste. Don't they taste test? Don't forget to add plenty of raisins and walnuts.
Quite agree, I also bought three boxes as it is not always easy to find.
The 'new recipe' is not good. The taste has completely altered, it smells stale, and the after taste is horrible. Please revert to the original recipe. As a wheat intolerant person I used to enjoy Oatabix, and it was a good alternetive to Weetabix. No raisins please!

Eat Within 30 Seconds!
If you can manage to arrange this in a small bowl with the biscuit standing up and milk half filling the bowl - and eat the contents within about 30 seconds, you might enjoy this cereal as it stays light and crunchy. If you prefer something veering between cold porridge and cement, by all means leave it a bit longer! The latter is revolting to me, so all other activity has to be dropped to eat this cereal fast enough!! I’m sure it used to have a much more interesting texture, so am disappointed that the recipe seems to have been changed so much. That said, I appreciate having an oat based cereal - but this over refined product may have a countering effect on the blood sugar benefits that beta glucans can usually provide through oats.

Ruined With The Unnecessary Addition Of Niacin
I loved Oatibix, ate it for years but recently after eating it, I’ve been getting stomach cramps and a hot tingling sensation in my arms and sometimes a feeling as if my throat was closing up - obvious allergic reactions. Then I discovered the dreaded “New Recipe” sign written on the box and that the oat content had been reduced in favour of the addition of Niacin amongst others. Here’s what the literature has to say about Niacin:
“Side effects may include diarrhea, headache, stomach discomfort, and bloating. High doses (50 mg or more) of niacin can cause side effects. The most common side effect is called "niacin flush," which is a burning, tingling sensation in the face and chest, and red or flushed skin.“
“The supplement has been linked with liver damage, can cause hypotension and might activate a peptic ulcer. Taking niacin also might worsen allergies, gallbladder disease and symptoms of certain thyroid disorders. If you have diabetes, niacin can interfere with blood glucose control.“
