Newbank Garden Centre

I ordered two LG Milan sunloungers and one was damaged. Called them and was told someone would call me back over the weekend. Guess what nobody did and a couple more phone calls, same old story someone would call back but still nothing. This company do not respond to emails either. We paid quite a bit of money for these products and one is unusable. I feel this is totally unacceptable and will be seeking further advice. I just wanted to share this terrible experience.

Rude cashiers, complained via email to manager in June and still not heard anything, go to Bradley Fold or Summerseat the staff and cashiers are lovely there!!

Contacted Newbank by email about a garden furniture set I was interested in. Emailed on a Sunday evening and got a reply that night!

Went ahead and ordered and was delivered promptly with a really nice and helpful delivery guy.

Very happy with my purchase!

Ordered a Kelkay Freedom fountain online in stock. 26th sept 2014 order went through heard nothing.

Contacted by email never bothered to reply. I called the store 3 times told the same rubbish that the guy dealing will call me back never did.

Last call I made was told the same yet nothing. Today I've received refund no sorry no explanation. All they did was hold onto my money to make interest for one week,

What a rubbish company avoid this was a birthday present what never arrived.

Thank you so much rubbish company you are. Business like this should not survive so message for your company purpose on my refund receipt for CRAIG who deals with this appalling part of this company and does not do his job properly

Myself & my Sister went to the Radcliffe branch of this store with her baby Lucas in a pram, we ate in the Bistro which was disappointing. We were placed in a seating area which was not pram friendly at all, we blocked off other seating area basically we were in the way. The food was nice but very expensive for a sandwich, drink & dessert for two people came to almost £33.00

The menu stated that the Bistro closed at 17.00hrs however at 16.20hrs Lucas required a feed my Sister started feeding him, a waitress started brushing the floor around us, making us feel unwelcome so we resorted to sitting outside which was cold so Lucas could not take his feed.

Its fair to say we will not be returning for lunch again as this Bistro is expensive for a basic menu & unwelcoming

bought a Gardman 12 portal birdseed feeder. within a week one of the portals went missing.

phoned gardman and left a message on their answer machine even though it was only mid afternoon. still waiting 2 weeks later for them to get back to me.

returned to newbank garden supplies in Bury and [name removed] gave me a new portal as soon as i asked.

one happy customer but far from impressed with Gardman.

A regular visitor to this excellent garden centre I was very disappointed on Friday to see that they had let themselves down by displaying about four pallets of compost taking up two of the few disabled parking spaces. This centre is always very busy and we always struggle to find a disabled space not always successfully so to see our limited choice further cut is annoying to say the least. Please do better.

My wife purchased a monkey puzzle tree in April for my 65th birthday and 3 weeks later we went on holiday to France.

The tree at the time was going a little brown but with rain forecast in the UK we went on holiday hoping everything would be Ok.

On arrival back the tree was completely brown with slight tinges on green.

Made contact with New Bank to be told once a purchase leaves our premises we cannot be held responsible. i.e. No guarantee.

Surely the products not fit for purpose. All I did was dig a hole watered the hole and put the tree in and watered again.

Not a happy bunny being £149.00 down.

For that kind of money they should be giving some instructions but I think I only did what anyone else would have done.

I often visit Newbank Garden Centre in Dobcross,

The staff are always excellent with their product knowledge and have a 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude.

They have a great product range and got everything I needed in one trip without the hassle of going elsewhere.

A must visit place in beautiful surroundings.

Newbank is a great place to buy all your gardening and housewares at competative prices however.......

The only thing i did not like to see was the co-owner,i was told her name was Francis, speaking to her staff in a very dissgraceful way!

i was told by a member of staff who shall remain nameless that this was a daily occurance and often moral was low when she was around.......Overall great store, Bad staff management........
