This review is about my overall experience in over 6 years and how the company is slipping.

They used to deliver orders efficiently, then this year Tufnell's went bust so orders were delayed. During this period they were excellent delivering orders within a week.

Now they are supposedly over the delivery issue yet my delivery has been messed around, strangely enough this is my lowest value order this year, maybe that is the factor.

They don't seem to value loyalty anymore and their aftersales team have a different approach to the pre sales team.

My first experience of aftersales was in January 2021 when I attempted to return a set of broken fascia boards, on opening the packaging two of the three were damaged. They initially tried to decline the replacement request until I mentioned the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Immediately, and I mean immediately, I referred to the Consumer Rights Act of 2015 they arranged replacements and collection of the broken ones.

(FYI: If the T&C's or responses of a business are not consistent with the Consumer Rights Act of 2015 then a company is deemed to be in breach of said rights)

Conclusion, they are slightly cheaper than most places but is it worth it if you have problems returning items and unless you have a knowledge of the Consumer Rights Act of 2015 you may be put off away by their initial approach.

Overall, my opinion of this company has dropped over the years, they aren't as competitive as they used to be and aftersales is a big problem, they don't seem to care. Is that how they do business now? I find myself looking for comparative quotes as I have lost trust in edecks. This year I didn't spend all my DIY budget with then and went elsewhere for timber materials. Maybe this is the way forward. My opinion of them has dropped from 5* to 2* based on overall experiences the last few years.

I ordered cedar shingles and ridge shingles. I thought at the time these were quite expensive but wow they are real quality.

I've stored some in my garage and the aroma is amazing, better than any air freshener.

Best Canadian wood.

Will buy again very soon.

I have used E-Decks previously and was extremely happy with the order process through to the supply with quality very good for the best prices I could find. This positive experience helped me decide on a supplier for my new garden project. I received the same ease of ordering and was very happy with the materials supplied. One small issue was a missed delivery due to an overladen vehicle, meaning my order was removed and planned for the following week. Overall I'd use this company again without question.

Worst customer service I've ever encountered. Products are appalling quality. DO NOT BUY. I bought stair stringers, the company admitted in writing that they are not straight and yet will not refund. Disgusting

Very poor quality decking. Project had only been completed a few days & knots had started to drop through and splits started to appear & are continuing to do so. Customer services might as well be non existent & were very rude. They were not interested in coming to an appropriate solution & I now having decking that needs replacing. Their website states it should last up to 15 years. Ours didn’t even last 15 days. Would not recommend this company & would give zero stars if it was possible.

This was my first decking project and all I had was the drawing. Called Edecks, spoke to a staff and discussed my situation and they asked me to send in my plan. They did the costing for me and verified the materials list. I accepted the quote. Edecks also followed up after delivery. My project was a success.

I have used Edecks a few times now and always fast service and great product.
