Poor Service
I have owned the garage now for several years and it is just OK. The swing over door does not close properly and the rain comes in down both sides at the base. The garage installers did a poor job and Mr Hanson was good enough to visit me and survey the work done. He was very professional and a pleasure to deal with. He found many problems and took many photographs. The installing team were returned to my home and the job completed properly. The garage is excellent quality and worth every penny, the product only being let down by the quality of the installers.
BEWARE! If you have to recall the installers.
On arriving at my address they asked ONLY for THREE MUGS OF TEA. When they departed I collected the mugs. Each one was perfectly cracked without a chip or a scratch and were now useless! It would have been better had they been broken then it would have looked more like an accident!

Quality of the product is good and the garage was erected in the timescales set. The reason not a 5 was because the administrator who I dealt with requires email etiquette training and the team who put the garage up (Team3) were a little bit abrupt.

Garage Roof Substandard
Back door to garage leaked which I purchased sealant and fixed . They sent someone round to look after 4 weeks of contacting them about the problem, however, forgot to notify they were coming. More seriously some 9 phones calls to report the roof rainy in, to be informed that they would be closing for Xmas and could not give me date for repair, by the rudest customer service manager I have ever encountered!!!. On speaking to their agent, he managed to arrange for the installations manager to visit and take a look the following week. He came and was shocked to see how much water had leaked into the building, he proceeded to seal all joints inside and out. I was then told that it would still leak until it had time to dry out which could take around 6-12 months so next year would be fine. I told this was not acceptable and he needed to contact the roof supplier to explain the materials used were unsatisfactory!!, Which he told me they would not do anything. I also asked if Hanson were going to cover the costs for all the damages, again the answer was no. 10 year guarantee means nothing with substandard materials. This is still ongoing with no resolve!!!DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, YOUR ASKING FOR TROUBLE.

Roof Leaks, Awful Customer Service To Resolve
Think very carefully before you buy one of their concrete garages with a Cembrit corrugated roof! Not fit for purpose and absolutely disgusting after sales support.
Initially I was extremely pleased with the service - design, supply and build were excellent. work was completed just before lockdown 2020.
During the winter of 2020/2021 I noticed that during periods of heavy rain, the roof leaks, to the point where it is necessary to cover my motorcycles and camper van with tarpaulins. Eventually Hanson arranged for a representative from Cembrit, the roof manufacturer, to attend. The representative who attended agreed that there was a problem, however shortly afterwards I received an email from Cembrit via Hanson. The email stated:
"The fibre cement sheets are a breathing roof and at this stage I can only conclude that it is the sheer volume of water which they have absorbed externally coupled with the warmer air from in side which is causing the sheets to become heavy with moisture. This would be similar to the wetness which appears on the breather membrane in a loft at this time of year, except in this case it is straight on the sheets. I notice that the eaves are blocked in and this will prevent any air circulation within the building so if the garage cannot be left open at any time to allow natural airflow to circulate it may be advisable to remove some or all of the eaves fillers to see if this remedies or reduces the moisture."
I have queried this for several reasons:
1) There is no significant temperature differential between inside and outside as the garage is not heated.
2) If the problem was related to condensation, it would not occur only during periods of heavy rain as it does, but during cold periods.
3) Hanson recommend the use of eaves fillers. If they know this causes a problem, why do they continue to recommend them and charge extra for them?
4) The implication from Cembrit is that this will occur whenever we experience prolonged periods of heavy rain - this is the UK, we expect prolonged periods of heavy rain therefore the roof is not fit for purpose.
5) Surely a roof which "breathes" from both inside and out is not "breathable" but "porous".
This garage supposedly has a 10 year guarantee. Not only are Hanson or Cembrit refusing to rectify the problem, but they also now refuse to answer any email that I send.
From my initial good impressions of the company I would now not recommend a Hanson garage to anyone as the after sales support is useless and it appears that the 10 year guarantee is meaningless.

Supply And Installation Of Garage Professionally Done.
Sectional concrete garage with two windows and up-and-over door supplied and erected by Hanson garages.
Ordering process was simple and intuitive due to the quality and information contained in the brochure and additional paperwork. I contacted Hanson on two occasions with questions regarding the design and received a polite and knowledgeable response each time.
Garage was supplied on time and the installation team worked hard to erect it quickly and efficiently. Upon completion they took time to explain door operation and maintenance, removed all rubbish and left the site in a clean and tidy condition.
I am very happy with the overall appearance and integrity of the garage. The doors appear to be secure and the felt roof lining does a good job of preventing condensation from dripping onto contents and floor.
Overall, I feel that the company works hard to achieve customer satisfaction and, in my opinion, the service, value for money and quality of the product and work done is of a high standard.

Very Satisfied Customer
We had a garage errected during hot year of 2018. Perhaps it was because of the heat (or a bad batch of adhesive/) Whatever the reason was, the adhesive began to drip away. The men came back quite quickly and resolved the situation (good aFTERCARE)
The garage looks impressive with a wooden drop down door with brick inserts down each side.
Overall we are very satisfied and would recommend Hanson Garages.

Very Bad
that disappointed I could cry after spending 9 grand on garbage the building is not square the garage door won’t work and isn’t safe they have cut supporting brackets just to get garage door to shut leaving it unsafe and inoperable, bolts missing because they couldn’t fit them as the building is not square.buliding is over hanging the base and looks an embarrassment. side door shakes in the wind. roof beam has been packed out with a pile of metal brackets to make roof beam level

Untrustworthy
Bought one of their buildings (cost about £9000). Friendly and helpful until they have your money, then rude.
Lousy quality product, incomplete and not as advertised. I felt sorry for the installers who tried their best. I recommend you buy elsewhere or just burn your money.
Q&A
I was wondering that when you pay a deposit shouldn't you get some sort of signed contract. Also can you pay 50% on garage delivery and the other 50% on completion?
Do the galvanised roof sheets suffer from condensation?
Thanks. That is reassuring.
