A Waste Of Money "do Not Buy"
My strimmer has already been repaired by Bosch, the spindle kept flying off it worked ok after the repair for one cut and started to fly off again. The blades cost £9 for five. They only last for one and half cuts. Very week cut even when the battery is fully charged, I have reverted back to my 15 year old Flymo strimmer. I am very disappointed in this product as I am a Bosch supporter usually, but this strimmer is going in the dustbin.
Would Have Been Better With Nail Clippers!
What a load of (expensive) rubbish. My old cheapo £10 cord strimmer was better. Did a third of the lawn in over an hour which took two charges of the battery pack and I don't live in a palace! Used to take 15-20 mins to do the lot. I could have done it quicker with nail clippers! This struggled with bone dry grass, I'd hate to see it with anything more challenging. I don't usually write reviews but was shocked at the inadequacy of this. Save your money. Mine is going back to Homebase in the morning for a refund.

Absolute Rubbish Do Not Buy
Battery charge does not last 5 mins. Cutting blades keep snapping. Has put me off Bosch products which I thought were supposed to be first class.

I am a firm Bosch fan so I bought the Accutrim 13 months ago because I thought Bosch would have a quality, well tried and tested product and because I liked the idea of no electric cable to worry about. Regretted buying it from the first time I used it. Battery life is abysmal and the plastic blades keep breaking. Poor patchy finish to lawn edging which is all I wanted from the thing. Thank God the Accutrim has now packed up (just outside the warranty period of course) and after only a handful of times used. I am off to buy a replacement and it's back to the conventional reel system for me. Finally shot of the Accutrim at last!
Update.
I have discovered that Bosch guarantees garden machinery for 2 years so I sent the Accutrim back to Bosch by following the instructions on their web site. The packaged trimmer was picked up by courier the next day and a new Accutrim delivered within the week. Hoping I have more luck with the new one but well done Bosch for dealing with the problem quickly and without fuss.

Do Not Buy This!
Looks good and on first use was fine but the battery life is shocking despite do a full use and recharge to attempt get maximum life out of it. Ironically my elderly gardening neighbour gave me hers to having reached the end of her tether with the appalling battery life. 5 - 10 minutes - c'mon! Time to buy a petrol strmmer or an electric one.... Grrrrr

Horrible, Waste Of $
battery never lasted long. Replacing the tags is costly.
Never cut the grass effectively.
Battery took too long to recharge.
The item stopped working completely just after the 2 year warranty expired.
A complete waste of $200.00
Agree totally, waste of money.... BUYERS BEWARE, you do not get the spare blades any where in shops or online (shipping to India). SO I have an expensive junk that cannot be used as a 3 inch piece of plastic is not available !!!

Awesome, Light And Easy To Use
I love this weed-eater
great for keeping my 650m sq section tidy.
battery lasts about 30 minutes of normal use or 20 min if trying to clear through an amazon type forest.
very light and easy to handle it is also very quiet.
blades are easy to replace and has a holder for them in the handle and takes 10 sec to change them over.
they last well using new ones for straight trimming and the worn ones for edging.
I'd say it was easy to clean but it is so easy to clean I have not really had to.
The plant protector is great
over all a well thought out unit.
if there is something I dislike it is the trimmer does not extend long enough for someone tall.

Great For Small Jobs.
Just the thing for around the house and pots where conventional trimmer is too big and chops roughly. I usually run out of steam before battery does. Nice ad light for ladies.

Research Your Needs Before You Buy
how so many people have rated this with a low score is beyond me! (perhaps they should have researched there specific needs first). I brought this strimmer because i have two small patches of raised lawns that are underneath fur trees and very awkward to get to and it works brilliantly. First there is the adjustable tilting head to help with almost any angle needed and then there is the adjustable length for those hard to reach places. The conveinience of it being cordless is great too. I like the blade system as i didnt fancy winding up spools of string as this is a common problem with most strimmers, however it would be nice to have the option with interchangable heads. The strimmer can be adjusted so short that it ideally places into my small storage shed. Battery life is ok for my needs but people with large gardens should avoid unless they have a spare. All in all i am happy and feel i got the perfect product for my requirements.

Performance Does Not Match Price
Wanted something better that a series of short lived cheapy's. Naively thought it would be good for my allotment as it has a heavy-duty appearance. Demoted to light garden duties where it is barely fit for purpose. Battery charge-life very poor. Cutters will break if in contact with anything thicker than a blade of grass. Planning to buy a replacement.
Q&A
Can a 24v Bosch trimmer battery be used safely in a 18v Bosch trimmer?
