I Have A Planted Border, Approx 1m Wide, Between A
I have a planted border, approx 1m wide, between a 1.5m high hedge and a lawn. Collecting the hedge cuttings has always been a problem - do I lay a sheet over the plants and risk damage to the plants or let the cuttings fall onto the border and pick them up!
Problem solved - I purchased a Garden Groom Pro from a website, www.all4Gardening.co.uk (I have not seen one of these in a garden centre yet).
The Garden Groom Pro has a spinning blade that discharges the cuttings through tube into a 60 litre collection bag.
...no more bending between the planted border picking up the cuttings. No more cut wires either, as the blade is sheilded...this may be a problem with large leafed hedges such as laurel, as it may rip the leaf rather than cutting (not sure, just a thought).
