I Bought This Mower In 2005, It's Now 2014. It's S
I bought this mower in 2005, it's now 2014. it's so far the only mower i have ever owned so i can't compare it to other mowers but all in all i have been very happy with it!
Yes it is heavier than most mowers i have read up on, yes it hates collecting wet grass but i assumed all hover mowers would struggle to vacuum and collect wet grass?? It does claim to cut edge to edge but if you have border roll etc edging your lawn it obviously won't be able to cut right to the edge because the border roll will be blocking it's way.
I have had no problems removing and refitting the grass box, it's hardly rocket science to line the base up with the red line and slot it down to fasten it in! I cleaned it and scraped any grass from the underside and blades every time i used it and after 10 summers of weekly lawn mowing it is still working apart from the blades now being blunt, causing me to have to mow the lawn twice each time i use it. The only thing that has ever broken on me was the nuts that tighten to keep the folding handle upright when in use, the thread went on them but to be fair it wasn't hard to find a basic wing nut that fitted and does the job great.
i think people are too quick to slate a product which if they had taken the time to read up on it they would have realised, in most cases, if it wasn't going to live up to some expectations. If i could find replacement blades for my mower i wouldn't hesitate to purchase them and continue many more summers of lawn mowing :-)

This Is Bad
i dont have this but it looks bad because of its rating
its like trying to cut the grass with your teeth and i could get a better one in pound land.

The Jcb Acr 310 Will Cut And Collect Grass Just A
The JCB ACR 310 will cut and collect grass just as the ads say --but only if the grass is really dry. Even slight dampness causes a real problem.Bad build quality. I had to go all over mine and fit new better quality fasteners to stop it shaking apart.I have had it for two years so it has now done approx 25 cuts of my garden and today it has stopped. I have stripped it apart and found the ball bearing on top of the motor has disintegrated due to being a cheap and nasty item. About 2p extra would have bought a better quality bearing but JCB have bought the cheapest and lowest quality bearing possible.I could get a new better quality bearing but something else is bound to break soon, so now is the time to bin the whole bag of badly built rubbish.
For A Start My Jcb Acr310 Electric 1200w Hover Doe
For a start my JCB ACR310 Electric 1200W Hover does not hang very well in a small shed with limited space. More inportantly, it only lasted 1/2 British wet weather season, i.e. 10 cuts.Mine struggles to cut lawn after 1 weeks growth and starts to cut out intermittently. Then cuts out more frequently until mower smokes and cuts out never to restart. I will NEVER BUY JCB products again as my last FLYMOW mower lasted 10 years.

I Would Never Buy One Of These Lawn Mowers Again.
I would never buy one of these lawn mowers again. I found it very difficult to put the grass box back on. I used it 3 times and then smoke came out of it.
I Thought That This Was A Brilliant Mower To Start
I thought that this was a brilliant mower to start with. Then I looked at the build quality compared to Flymo. It is very bad. I would say dangerous. This is definitely the worst lawn mower that I ever bought. My last flymo lasted 18 years. I am now looking for another lawn mower. The basic problem is that it is very hard to make a lawn mower that hovers and collects grass properly. Even Flymo have not fully managed that yet. I am now opting for a wheeled lawn mower that collects grass.

It Cost Me '£80. I Would Never Buy It Again
It cost me '£80. I would never buy it again. In a way I'm glad it's broken because I can now buy another Flymo.
