Yardworks Tecumseh 181-1215-c1
Despite proper engine care from day 1 this engine has never worked properly. It is hard to start be it the first attempt of the season or the last. I wish I paid a bit more for a Lawnboy or a Honda. Stay away from Tecumseh engines as they suck ass.

21" Model 60-1620-4 Cuts The Grass Of Conside
21" model 60-1620-4
Cuts the grass of considerable length of about 3-1/2" long with no problem.
However once the bag is full becomes quite hard to push because of the imbalance created by too much weight transferred to the back end.
Next problem is the rear flap that drags under the mower body when pulling backwards. I feel that this should be addressed.
The spring lever assembly is made of thin metal and easily breaks. Should be heavier gauge metal as this item does come under heavier tension.
No problem starting even after filling with gas during stoppage when empty.
A decent purchase and value for the money.
Recommend that the canadian Tire Stores carry this item in stock.

This Little Electric Reel Mower Seemed Like A Good
This little electric reel mower seemed like a good idea when I bought it 3 years ago at Canadian Tire, but after using it the first summer, I have not been able to get it charged. Canadian Tire is assuming no responsibility for this bad excuse for lawn equipment, and doesn't even know where we could go to fix it. In hindsight, it would have been a good idea to have done some research on Yardworks before the unit was purchased.

Bought A 24 V Yardworks Cordless Lawnmower 2 Years
Bought a 24 V Yardworks cordless lawnmower 2 years ago from Canadian Tire. The first summer, it cut both the back and front lawns on one charge. The second summer, I had to charge it twice (one charge for the front lawn and one charge for the back lawn). This year, I can't get the green light to come on no matter how long I try to charge the battery. I did not charge it every 2 weeks, as recommended, and I did not bring it inside for the winter. Perhaps if I'd done those things, it would still take a charge, now. I don't know that for sure, of course. This older model lawnmower battery doesn't just pull out - the cover has to be unscrewed and all. Very inconvenient.
I used mine once in the fall then brought the battery in the porch all winter and still would not charge not even after 48 hours Canadian tire Junk again !!!! of course they would not help the warranty was a month out even though it was only used for about 45 minutes one cut last fall. Wonder how many customers are getting tired of Crappy Tire Junk and they dont stock any parts to repair or replace the problem on many items . I see now they are trying to sell Stoves, Fridges, Freezers which I imagine will come with the same VERY POOR customer service attitude about time we start buying other places. We have control if we dont but from there they wont sell it . All we all too braindead to use common sense ? Not to mention the high charges if one would use their credit card....... Sick and Tired I will be trying Home Hardwear and others from now on

Bought this 4 horsepower lawn mower 19 years ago, still works great. First pull Tecumseh Yard Works start every time. I guess the new ones aren't like they used to be.
Decent Little Mower, Except For The Yardworks (an
Decent little mower, except for the Yardworks (and Canadian Tire) service, and the damnable rechargeable battery. Used it twice last summer, then shelved it for the winter, taking care to bring the battery indoors. Once spring had finally sprung, charged the battery up (and was pleased when the green light came on nearly immediately), took it outside and... nothing. My own folly for not having read or remembered the manual, but I'm to charge the battery monthly during the six or seven months it's not in use (I live in Alberta, Canada) or else be faced with a useless mower or buy a new battery for $140. The solution for me is to go back to a gas-powered mower for $300 - not Yardworks, not at any cost. What a frustration.

I Bought A Yardworks 17 Hp Riding Mower 2 Yrs Ago
I bought a yardworks 17 hp riding mower 2 yrs ago at Canadian Tire. It usally works well but for some reason the blades bend at the slightest impact with anything. This really isn't too much of a problem but every time I go to buy a replacement blade they are out of stock or on back order. Are these blades that fragile and why are they always out of stock.
