Lasted Just Under 8 Years
This boiler was fitted in 2006.
Had to call the engineer out every year
Have had to change a part in it 3 times which heats the hot water up
Always loosing pressure
Now after nearly 8 years, theres so many things wrong with it, we need a new boiler. No hot water or heating in the middle of winter
Never again
I have also had the same problems with mine. This cant be right.
I wouldnt recommend this to anyone.
We had one fitted around the same time as you,and have had nothing but trouble with ours.I am going to contact Baxi in an attempt to get something done.I can honestly say it has been the biggest pile of rubbish ever. Our most recent plumber said were lucky our house has not set on fire with the fault on it this time.
Pensioner And Baxi 105he
Boiler fitted 2007 No trouble first Toook out emergency insurance. but no problems.
2011 boiler failed but quickly fixed by British Gas engineer who also serviced boiler.
2012 required annual service to upgrade insurance and engineer found boiler base plate "eaten away" by water from DHW valve leaking!!
He suggested probably uneconomical repair and probable new boiler required.
I contacted customer service with photographs and could they perhaps discount anew boiler or part exchange this otherwise good one... with the comment that I would expect the boiler to be operational more than 6 years. and why was the base plate in such a condition from a small leak.It looks like galvanised steel.
Customer service replied quickly basically "not their problem in so many words. goobledegook about not being annually checked by Baxi engineer and could not comment on why the baseplate had rusted.through Would I like to pay for a Baxi engineer to visit??
This boiler definitely not of good "merchantible quality" to quote sale of goods act..

Do Not Buy This Boiler
Had it fitted in 2008, spent more money having it repaired than the boiler cost, its had that many parts replaced im not sure if anythings original,i am now having the boiler replaced after 5 years of hell with it. its about to get ripped off the wall and bounced down the garden. following the hint of what i liked about it , its white.

Baxi 105 He Combi Instant
Has this boiler since 2007 and had no problems with it until I had a service from a local engineer. It then started to go on and off at random and 2 local gas companies were unable to solve the problem. It got so that every time someone came out to it they left with the boiler working but by the next morning it had gone off again. I contacted Heateam, the Baxi engineers and took out boiler cover with them, but the first engineer couldn`t solve the problem. The next one got to work on it and it has been working ever since, finally putting an end to the stress my family suffered when we had no hot water or central heating. I think if you get someone from Baxi who had worked on this particular make of boiler you are more likely to get a competent engineer to fix it. My son has the same boiler and apart from one event, he has had no trouble with his.
Had This Bioler Since 2006
Not had much bother with it.
Only thing i am bothered about is :
Any one any idea how i can turn the temperature control down. It is set on 5c so at night time my heating is coming on also my radiotors bank like mad so i end up going into the attic and switching the whole lot off till the morning.
Any ideas.

Would Certainly Not Recommend This Boiler. Since
Would certainly not recommend this boiler. Since we had ours fitted some years ago we've had nothing but problems with it. We've virtually had every part replaced that can be - circuit boards, flow switches, the list is endless and it's also incredibly noisy. Not impressed

In 2006 I Had To Opt Between 1 Large Worcester Boi
In 2006 I had to opt between 1 large Worcester boiler or 2 smaller boilers. Sadly, opted for 2 Baxi 105HE instant boilers - one at each end of the house. Have had the same problems as everyone else including loss of DHW and CH. Curently have 1 boiler with no CH circulation. No support from Baxi. Just worth noting a big thank you to all the fellow sufferers who share their woes on the web and help resolve the numerous problems. Would NOT reccomend Baxi products.
Q&A
Replaced the pcb, re-set then run hot tap. The boiler fires up for nine seconds then shuts off. Replaced the probe in the flame, still same symptoms. What should I do?
I have had my Maxi 105HE since 2006 and only one minor problem (diaphragm replaced) but now have a problem. The hot water only heats when at maximum. At mid temperature setting it starts then switches off after a few seconds. Centeal heating works fine.
Have read it could be the thermister. Any one out there with the same problem with solution? Thanks for looking.
