Expensive Failure!
I bought one and had it installed in 2014. It has never worked right. The pressure kept dropping, and after numerous different plumbers one eventually found a pipe to the expansion vessel that was clogged with black sludge. This is despite having a built in filter. I paid to have a top of the range magnetic filter fitted.
Again the pressure drops and I will have to have the pipe with the tiny bore checked again. Nothing is leaking anywhere, it's all been checked.
It is not economic, it uses two 47kg propane's in a month. It takes stars to warm up. If the weather's really cold it doesn't heat the water really hot.
One last very disturbing fault is it ignites like a shotgun sometimes, and outside you really do frighten yourself when it goes off. I have had the registered gas Safe plumber check this out and he didn't find any cause, and it didn't do it whilst he was here.
Exactly the same problem as the other review with all the same symptoms. Have had multiple plumbers come out and said that these were awful boilers that's why baxi stopped making them. I was also told that whilst we had the boiler it would be best to pay and have the baxi insurance where they come and fix it, because these boilers are renowned for constantly breaking down.
After 2 year of having the insurance, multiple diaphrams, multiple other parts, I think we have spent probably another £1000 at least just trying to keep the thing running. We too had a magnetic filter and it didn't fix the problem. I've personally had enough of it, so we're getting a new boiler. I wouldn't recommend this piece if garbage to anyone. And neither would baxi or else they'd still be selling it!

Piece Of Junk
Had boiler 3 and a half years. Plumber been out at least 15 times. Baxi came out before Christmas, and supposedly fixed it. Another problem last week and my plumber called Baxi a week last Thursday and appointment was made for Thursday 9th March. One day before they were due they called to say it would be into the next week. Plumber call his rep and they came on Friday 10th March. Got up the next day to find no heating or hot water and boiler flashing like a Christmas Tree. Plumber came out and the first thing he noticed was that the Baxi engineer hadn,t put the cover on properly he got boiler going. We went out and on return the boiler was flashing again, no heating or hot water. Same on Sunday 11th March. Truly fed up, warranty runs out in 2018. This boiler is NOT fit for purpose.
The rating for this boiler in my opinion is minus 5 stars.

Worst Buy Ever
Breaks down every 10-11 months !Customer service non existent. Its now 3 years old 4th time broken. had to fight with Baxi last year as was 2 days out of warranty, which when fault appeared was still in warranty but had managed fix with error code reset advice on website only for it to completely break 10 days later. They fixed eventually as I made it public, i had just been discharged from hospital and was very ill with no heating or hot water with snow and ice on ground.

Avoid This Model - Infact Avoid Baxi Altogether
I had this boiler installed when they first came out in Oct 2011 - and I have had problem after problem - the BAXI engineers have been out at least four times, I have had two replacement valves and various updates - basically BAXI have issued it out to the market without it being tested thoroughly enough, and I have been one of the guinea pigs.
After the latest boiler cut off, I was told by a BAXI engineer that it was a lack of gas supply which was making it cut out, so i would need a new gas pipe fitting or I would need to get in touch with Transco - and for me to contact the installer.
I rang the installer (he was an independant installer) and he said it was loads of bull what they said, and he said there have been major problems with this range but BAXI are blaming the installers.
I also rang another independent fitter/plumber I know and he also confirmed that the BAXI man was talking absolute rubbish.
Yes you get a 5 year warranty, but I have a feeling in 5 years (if not sooner) I will be getting a new one and it WONT be a BAXI Neta-Tec 28 GA.
Appalling Appalling Appalling..........
luckily we got a five year warranty as after 2 years and one month this piece of rubbish has broken down four times in two months! poor customer services poor service poor music you have to listen to for over fifteen minutes each time poor line and hard to hear and very poor at returning calls. they have finally after a long battle agreed to replace the piece of metal. now to see what compensation i can get for been dirty stressed using annual leave for them to mend it and the sheer frustration of having their unreliable product......
