Had a 30 hxi for 11 years , only fault to date was a faulty thermistor so I changed them both , serviced every year and inhibitor added to system , if it ever goes wrong my next boiler will be a glow worm Ultracom 30 hxi

Solid Worker For 9 Years

Our gloworm 30hxi has worked tirelessly for 9 years until it blew a gasket which is a recognised fault. We have never had it serviced at all which is perhaps remiss but shows how well built and installed it was. If we had it serviced I suspect this would have been replaced before it failed. It was quick to repair and is back on stream working away. I think these are good if properly installed and serviced

This Boiler Design Does Not Accommodate Short Powe

This boiler design does not accommodate short power dips. It shows a fault condition and has to be re-light. However with a power failure of more than, say, 5 seconds it relights when the power is restored. This could be disastrous if one is away during cold weather and when a dip is likely.
