Broke Down Weeks After Warranty!!
Had this boiler installed on a brand new system approx 2 years ago, It has now failed and the main heat exchanger is the culprit.
Spoke to technical help who advised it must be due to a running the boiler dry which I can 100% guarantee has never happened.
the part is £300 + VAT and then requires fitting which in total is more than the boiler cost in the 1st place, so it's now necessary to fit a new boiler!
As people say fit a cheap boiler and take your chances, I wish I'd fitted something decent in the 1st place.

This Boiler Is Good,
This boiler is good i dont know why they get so much bad press. Also they were very fair with me, i paid a £260 fee for them to come out and check my boiler, and gave me a refund of £117 because there was nothing wrong with it, and they only charged the call out fee of £87. They are very fair and i have no complaints.
sorry a refund of £173
Absolute Cr*p Tech Help Line
As A Gas safe engineer, I was called to one of these heaps of rubbish this morning needless to say the previous tenant had taken the manual so had to rely on the help line, it cost me nearly £20,00 to talk to these guys due to the fact that they as heatline engineers had to resort to the manual, you could hear the pages russeling, and still didnt get the right info, all I wanted was a comfirmation of my diagnoses as the PCBs for this rubbsh is over £200 quid.
NEVER, NEVER put one of these in.

Pisss Poor Quality Control
Where to start?
Wrong template included with Monza 24. Showed separate hanger when my model has fixed strips down sides. Also showed the pipes entering at vertical when all on my model entered at right angles. In the end had to measure the flue, work out where the fixings should go and then build the pipes to the boiler - not something recommended on an open building site!
Got the unit installed only to find that the gas system leaked so badly that the rooms had to be evacuated. Not something I have ever come across on a factory built unit. Took ten minutes with a leak spray to find all the leaks.
No flue included and B
Poor Technical Help
I'm a gas safe engineer. Heatline are notorious for being cheap to buy and expensive to buy parts for. When you ring up technical help for advice, it's an 0906 number - 60p a minute from landline, considerably more from a mobile. My mobile provider won't actually let me ring 0906 numbers. I tried 4 times to get through but because of the terms of the premium numbers, it'll cut you off rather than let you queue. Theirs is the only technical help service that I know of that charges a premium rate for the privilege of getting advice. It's a terrible boiler with terrible customer service.
A previous writer has commented that they work fine when installed properly and that the problem is caused by rushed installation. When installing properly you are adding to the cost of the job through the quality and integrity of your workmanship such that the cost of the boiler becomes a more marginal cost of the job. In which case, for the sake of an extra £100 to £150 you may as well install a decent piece of kit that will complement your workmanship and only add to your reputation as an engineer.
Q&A
There is water coming out off 15 mm pipe. How can I fix this?
The water coming out the tap is cold yet the boiler is working fine. I can see gas flames and the heating works okay as well. What could the problem be?
it is the 3 way valve that is jammed or the electrical pod that controls it is faulty. not a big job to assess but you need to know what your looking for.they are both connected because one works the other with a small pushrod.. half way up boiler on left hand side.
I have been told that my heatline boiler has a vertical overflow going up in the loft and out the wall. This has been like this since installation and just recently it has been dripping from underneath, I have recently had my PRV replaced but the engineer just replaced the top of it?? Now it's leaking again and he is saying that it is due to the overflow going up rather that down under the floor boards. But this has been like it since installation so why now is it causing me a problem?
