Ideal Esprit HE Combination Boiler

Help Link was so helpful and friendly to deal with, the work that was carried out to replace my boiler was very quick it only took a couple of days and the engineers left no mess, the boiler it self is very very easy to use and very efficient also the after care is very good.

We had an Ideal Esprit HE35 installed in Dec 2008. In less than six months the board had fried (PCB 174486). Since then we have enjoyed plenty of hot water as well as heating when required until now. The boiler died again and again it is the board that has burned out. When working it gets top marks but because of the problem with the board we wish we'd chosen a different boiler as 2 boards in under 2 1/2 years to us is unacceptable and a costly experience.

This boiler came with parts missing, could not get past customer service to get it sorted, eventually managed via a friend to get one of their engineers to visit and fix missing part.

Boiler ran well for 13 months and has since broken down 6 times in 8 months, pcb replaced, ignition parts replaced and now it plays a tune like a trumpet 3 notes and then shuts down and shows fault LF, engineer has made 3 visits without finding a solution. This boiler most unreliable I do not recommend it. We are considering replacing it, only 18 months old

I would recommend that anyone who is looking into buying a Isar HE24 combi boiler, spend a little bit more and get a better quality one.

I feel the warranty is not long enough

I have been fitting Ideal Esprit HE Combination Boilers now for about 18 months, and I have to say, they are spot on, I was very nervous about using them after the dramas with the Isar, but ideal have really turned it around! I've never been called back to one, and all the parts were quality as far as I could see!! so I'll continue to fit these and recommend them when I price a job up, they are almost silent runners too!

Very good value for money, this Ideal Esprit HE Combination Boiler saves good money against its rival quality class, this being Vaillant and Worcester. Very quiet running as it has insulated inner panels. On CH you can barely hear the unit. Pre-heat on or off function. This boiler is a total change from Ideal. You can tell that Quality is first and last in the mind for the installer. Built in loop as standard, telescopic flue, built in bypass, optional rf stats.
