DO NOT BUY A COUNTY WINDOWS CONSERVATORY!

Apple provided a conservatory in September 2018 after a very long wait, then went bust. However, it has been very badly built and designed - every wall is at least 25mm out and the bi-fold doors are so badly installed that they haven't been able to open since installation. An independent Surveyor has now inspected the structure and has found that the roof is not man enough nor is the steel goalpost (also 25mm out) and is pushing the walls out. I have personally had to fit brackets to hold the walls up. The conservatory is also the wrong colour - all of which County Windows (the new owners of Apple) have agred with. However, County Windows are taking us to Court for non-payment! We have stipulated that County take the dangerous and faulty structure down and remove it entirely from our garden, which they are refusing to do. DO NOT BUY FROM COUNTY WINDOWS!

From the start of the process with the sales man coming round to finish if instillation it’s been a positive experience. The sales guy wasn’t pushy and was very knowledgeable, gave us time to make choices and talk finances. We booked in changing every window except patio doors and a new composite front door. We asked for a specific week for instillation as I am off work which they could work to. The only quibble and it’s a nitpick was I would of liked a call a day or 2 ahead just to confirm attendance. On the day our installers were really lovely friendly guys, they worked efficiently and weren’t intrusive at all, didn’t make me feel ill at ease as other workmen have done when in the house. We identified an issue with one of the window handles being loose and it was all sorted out quickly and easily with it being replaced tomorrow. All in all I would definitely deal with Apple again.

From start to finish the whole experience with Apple Home Improvements was faultless. The surveyor and office staff very efficient . The fitters arrived exactly on the time , all lovely, polite, friendly lads. They were very respectful of our home, furniture and furnishings covering floors etc with dust sheets. The whole installation was competed on time to a very high standard. My home was left spotlessly clean and tidy all rubbish removed. I am so pleased with my lovely new windows and doors and would highly recommend Apple .

Thank you to the whole team at Apple for our new conservatory and garage side door, we are delighted with the result, the design and workmanship, we understand that there was a manufacturing error on the roof struts and that these will be replaced shortly. The whole process has been very satisfactory from initial visit to fitting. A special mention to our installer/fitter who worked so hard on his own, knowledgeable, neat & tidy, patient with our many questions and overcame the issues with the existing base with expertise. Nothing was too much trouble.

All of the staff we have had contact with have been personable and with great customer service attitude and we have been very impressed, even to the the young lady that rang everyday to see how everything was going left me cheerful messages on my voicemail.

A smooth operation from start to finish and once we get the roof struts replaced by the manufacturer a total success. A big thank you to everyone we are very pleased to have been looked after so well.

Recently had new windows and doors fitted by local firm Apple. The 2 fitters were lovely really and courteous in our home did a fab job and made very little mess at all. I would have no hesitation in recommending them or Apple Home improvements to any one. The whole process from start to finish has been good no pushy sales , and excellent installation after care. The look of our house has been vastly improved with top quality window. Thanks Apple.

Contract number R2186881. Involved replacement of two third floor windows at rear of property. We already had shutters fitted to the windows inside which meant the job was more difficult and some of the work had to be done from outside. The two fitters who came were most obliging and nothing seemed too much trouble. Although we might have had to have scaffolding they managed to do the job with minimum disruption using ladders from the balcony below. They worked brilliantly and the finished job was superb. Apple guided us through the process from start to finish.

Recently I completed the plastics around my windows I found myself 1.5 meters short. A well known home depot quoted £28+ VAT!!!

The staff at Apple (Hurn)were more than happy to look for just the sort & length of plastic that I needed.

They soon appeared with just what I was looking for & charged only £5!! I was back a few days later having bodged my job & sheepishly asked for another. Without hesitation they found another & asked for nothing bar a donation into the charity box. Good to see genuine kindness & professional service.

The original sales appointment was far too long, didn't listen to what we said and tried the old silly idea of " price conditioning" which doesn't fool anybody anymore.

The surveyor who surveyed the job was very professional , turned up on time and did his job excellently.

The installation team were great. Again, highly professional and very slick . Did a good installation , did it quickly and cleaned up afterwards. They conducted very well, pleasant and efficient.

Very friendly punctual staff with all work completed to a high standard having minimum impact on your day. They clean and tidy all works when leaving the job. Very easy communication with every step fully explained. I have used apple twice now and would highly recommend.

6/3/2018 I have a conservatory from Apple, which is now out of warranty, fitted 12 years ago. It developed a leak. I phoned Apple and asked If someone could call re the repair. To my dismay I was informed by a male in the installation department that, Apple do not touch any of their installations once the guarantee is run out. Talk about customer service!! I asked if they informed their customers at the time of purchase; that once the guarantee is out, Apple no longer offer a service..to which he replied ‘they did’ I don’t think so!!
