Just Keep Clear
So I had an appointment on Saturday at 10am, no one turned up, 11am phone call, says so we’ll do a Teams and you measure up, what the hell is a teams??? (For anyone who don’t know, it’s a video call). I declined this.
Appointment made for Sunday 10am, turns up at 10.20am, This already isn’t going well!!!
So went through loads of video/pictures and how brilliant their windows are and that no one can break into them and that they are the only windows endorsed by the the police with their amazing lock system etc. finally measures up, then comes the part, I feel, they prey on the vulnerable.
So it’s going to cost this per month, talk talk talk, so we’ll sign you up ……….. I HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN A QUOTE AT THIS POINT!!!!
No I don’t want to sign up, I need to think about it, then he goes into the well the discount finishes next week, Basically I said I will let him know on the Friday that goes to Tuesday 5pm to all of a sudden Tuesday 11am, then he is calling me less than 24hrs Monday. I fuming is the word. This is harassment, this is hard selling, this is just unacceptable behaviour.
Now I can tell you for 7 windows and 2 doors the quote ( I found in an email, not once was this figure spoken about) was
£22998.00. Should I have been a vulnerable person or just not had my wits about me my final bill on finance would have been
£35984.04
STAY AWAY FROM EVERST - I will be putting a complaint together, and I will be requesting that this company is looked into their selling practices.
The company I am going with for the same is basically £9k. Nice small local company, Three small local companies all priced with in a few hundred pounds of each other.

Nothing But Problems
Had new windows and doors fitted last year. 9 windows and 3 doors of which one is a French door. The French door won’t lock when the weather is sunny so I have to adjust the hinges every time to suit the weather. We had to have 5 windows replaced due to problems like scratches and dirt inside the 3rd pane. They started the work in May2023 and fitted the last window in September 2023 due to it being replaced 2 times. Now that the sun is back with us we have found that the new kitchen window which has already been replaced is actually very dirty inside on the 3rd pane. Customer service messaged me last month but nothing ever since. Now when I try to contact them I have discovered they have gone bust! I would never recommend anyone to use them. Absolutely terrible workmanship and product! £20k and now I am going to have to get an independent window fitter to fit a new triple glazed glass unit for us! An absolute disgrace!

Awful Company - Sham Artists
A gang of sham artists. They admitted they charge significantly more than anyone else because "they're the best". They are appalling.
The Product
- So great, that they don't value it at all. The installations 'team' turned up (1 man who was 3 hours late and clearly very hungover, if not still drunk). He managed to get just 1 of 11 windows in, because his mate, who he was out drinking with the night before, didn't even bother showing up. So what does he do? Literally threw the remaining windows all over the garden and went home. They ended up getting water damaged as they hadn't been sealed and so needed to be replaced.
- The patio doors stick and cannot be locked, I am having to use a bike lock round the handles to secure my home. All for just 25k...
- The vents look like they were chewed rather than being cut in a factory. Poor finish all round
- The windows have a horrible mist to them that will not go, I don't know if it's just rubbish product or rubbish installation.
The Service
- The sales guy , while making the sale, gave me his business card "call me whenever, I'll deal with everything". This was not true, when I called, he refused to deal with the enquiry and told me to call customer services. He also told me not to read the terms and conditions. I wonder why...
- Contacted customer services and was told the damaged items would be ordered, then nothing.
- Contacted again and nothing.
- Contacted again and spoke to some woman who said she knew nothing about it as the person who dealt with my case literally left no notes and left the business. She then claimed she would order the replacements... And guess what, nothing.
- Raised a complaint and spoke to their so called complaints coordinator. This man hates his job, and hates the customers. He doesn't care at all. He will never call you, and if you finally persuade him to by saying you're going to management, he'll literally call so that it rings once, then hang up. Clearly this career phone jokey knows every way to avoid work in the industry.
- Scaffolders turned up and damaged my property, refused to put scaffolding where it was needed, and then left mess everywhere, which also damaged my car. They then removed it while I was in work, before the windows had been installed. Presumably they thought the scaffolding was going up to enable me to have my windows taken out and the exact same windows put back in.
- I called to speak to a manager and every single time you call, whether it be 8, 9, 10, 3... Every single manager is in a meeting. Again, the contact centre work avoidance is strong with this lot of sham artists.
I have reported their actions to Cheshire Police's department as it is illegal to prevent a person from reading the terms and conditions of a contract, and even without that, it would actually have been nice to get something for my money instead of rubbish thrown all over my garden, damage to my home and my car, and insulted by the person, who I believe is on a training course on how to operate a phone.
Avoid this company at all costs. They are awful, their product is awful and they mislead constantly
Refunds
Everest require a refundable deposit before agreeing to do the work, but are very slow to refund it if they decide not to proceed. If it were the other way round they would call in the debt collectors.

Stop Stop Stop
Don’t touch this company with a barge pole. Had windows and doors fitted 2 years ago. Windows jam and won’t open, their unique grab lock system is rubbish, corrosion on outside door handles, can’t get anyone to fix or replace. There slogan, fit the best, fit Everest should be more like, fit the best, fit someone else. After sales service is useless. Save your money, DONT USE EVEREST.

Avoid Avoid Avoid
Appalling quality of installation, mismeasured bay window by surveyor meant we had a piece of plywood in our living room from Oct to Dec. Mistakes everywhere. Shoddy finish. Remedial visits delayed or further remedial work needed to correct the remedial work. It has been an absolutely shambolic performance. Still not finished over a year on... I have three windows yet to finish but now left wondering how i could ever place another order with them! They have caused significant financial loss and distress.
Front Door
Everest ate rubbish they install rubbish front doors aftercare is non existent I would rather catch covid and go on a ventilator than use everest again

Shocking Service From Start To Finish
There was a total lack of customer service from start to finish, they read emails but do not reply to them and do not respond to voicemail messages, they take messages and email them on but the final message receiver often does not get back to you.
The patio doors themselves seem to be of a standard quality and certainly not worth almost double the cost compared with going with a local, long standing, reputable company with much better customer service and organisational skills.
To start with they just book appointments for someone to come out and give you a quote without allocating that appointment to a sales rep until the evening before the appointment so when there is a technical issue such as server failure the appointment is lost, no one turns up, you do not get notified that no one will turn up and they do not even follow up after the missed appointment to explain or apologise, you have to telephone them to find out what on earth is going on. The same goes for remedial works
When the sales rep did turn up on the second booked appointment he spent more time gossiping than trying to sell their products, I have a few technical questions most of which he answered but when I showed him the type of lock cylinder that I wanted he barely looked at it and said “yes, that is what they come with” which it turns out is incorrect and due to the way the French doors are constructed you cannot as easily change the cylinder as I have done in all our other UPVC SBD doors.
A date was booked for installation but I got a telephone call early one afternoon saying that they had a cancellation and as our doors had been constructed could they come and fit them the next day, I agreed on the one condition that they telephone me in the morning to give me an estimated time of arrival. They did not, I returned home from a very early trip to the supermarket to find they were already in the process of removing the old doors, OH had unlocked the gate for them. The fitters claimed they were not told to telephone before arriving and as it was close to where they are based they would not normally do that, they only telephone in advance if the job is several hours away. Just as in the case of the sales rep they were not told in advance that they even had an installation not until that morning, both fitters thought they had a day off and one was still in bed when he got the telephone call informing him.
They struggled to remove the old French door frame as it had been built into the house from new, something the local installer was aware of and knew could be an issue but not one of the Everest people considered it. The new French doors fitted well but after they removed the old ones and installed the new ones they did not remove the old raged white sealant along the edge of the floor tiles, instead they just went over it with clear sealant and it was very noticeable and untidy.
Someone came out three weeks later to remove and redo the sealant but again instead of white he used a glossy clear sealant through which you can see the tide mark from the old sealant and the rough tile edges. Within a few weeks the chrome started peeling off the handles and we have since noticed rain coming in underneath.

Don't Buy Opening Outward Doors
Do not ask Everest to fit outward opening composite doors. In effect, they fit an opening inward door the wrong way round, so that the hinges are on the outside of the door and the door is not flush with the frame. They look appalling and no-one will explain this to you before you purchase. I ordered three "matching" doors. They do not match and I have refused delivery. Everest are not engaging with me and I am taking them to the Small Claims Court to get my money back.

Bad Very Bad
Had windows fitted gaps so large you could put you hand between fram and wall. Could see daylight to outside. Covered up with plastic trims. More noise than old windows and draughty. Seriously avoid these at all costs you will regret it. Do not believe the 5 star reviews they are written by the company.
Q&A
Everest installed 3 windows in March 2020 using a loan arranged through them. I was unaware that the life time guarantee became null and void at the time of administration. Do I have any warranties on these windows? What do I do if I need to make a claim in the future?
Over ten years ago I had secondary glazing/windows put in. Over time some of the sliders/spacers that fit in the side grooves to stabilise and balance the windows have slipped off and have got lost. I have been looking to replace the sliders but they seem to be nonexistent.
Please can someone advise where I can obtain the sliders/spacers as some of the windows are no longer sitting correctly?
Sadly, I agree with the answer of the person below. Everest are NOT the customer-service they were 25 years ago when we first had them install our windows. One of the window handles would not function properly. After much tooing and froing it, it became that Everest was not going to help. However, if you talk to your local locksmiths, for example, you will find them much more amenable.
Are triple glazed or "silent glass" windows actually better and worth the extra?
I love the triple glazing-definite noise reduction and better insulation, but not 'silent'. Worth the money? Yes-but definitely NOT from Everest-the glass is great but the frames are leaky and draughty. Not impressed :-(
My parents have been 'persuaded' to order a garage roof at the exorbitant cost of £4000! They have paid a deposit of £1000 a month ago but I have only just found out. I feel that they have been ripped off. Is there anything I can do?
I know it's too late, but ALWAYS use local firms, never national ones like Everest. There is no support once a problem occurs and the products are very pricey and have lots of issues. Just look how many people are downvoting them here - quite right too from our experience.
