What A Shower Contract With Them At Your Peril!
Beware of using G2S. Initially you will be charged £100 for the pleasure and l use the term loosely of having a geriatric gentleman call on you as the sales person, as lovely as he was he is being used to delude you into believing that you are using a reputable company. Once they have the 25% deposit you are then exposed to their female customer service telephone operator - think of a training video on how not to treat or speak to people, these are often funny but this woman is not, Rude is an understatement. The Manager presents himself as being in charge but the term / definition manager really takes a stretch of the imagination. He will speak to you and even text you but obviously cannot read what he is asked or comprehend what his responses are as what actually does occur will bear no comparison to what you have been told/texted. For an alledged local company you will get a builder from Newport, they tend to arrive about 10.00 hr then tell you they have to pick up some bits and pieces so off they go only to return at 12.00 hr, have 30 minutes in their van and start work at 12.30hr. They stop at 18.00 hr. The following day they rock up at 9.00 hr and finished at 15.00 hr. Except the window was not sealed, the pane was cracked , the handle did not function properly but off they went. I had to wait over a week to get the replacement pane of glass, but are still waiting the remaining items to be completed. This incident ensured that l had a really full on customer
service experience thanks to the aforementioned female employee. You really need a strong stomach for this one be warned!
We foolishly also has our facia done at the same time or rather weeks later. The work was tidy and looked reasonably well done, but they were quite incapable of advising me when they would be on site despite Manager agreeing that l would be told as l have dogs and l didn’t want them barking. Considering their failure to undertake any agreed actions it’s amazing how promptly a female nor previously involved ring me at 16.10hr on. Friday demanding payment as l had not been at home when the work was completed. The concept of customers having working life’s themselves I’d clearly a concept not embraced by G2S.
Our work is still not completed.
Think twice before using this company.

Impressive After Sales
After 4 years we suddenly had a crack in a triple glazed unit. There has been no impact so there was obviously a manufacturer's defect that took time to reveal itself. We wondered how G2S would react but needn't have worried. They agreed it wasn't an impact, immediately ordered a new unit and installed it a day after delivery - all under the guarantee. Really, we couldn't have had a better service.

New Front Door.
I can't fault the service I received from Grime to Shine. The representative who came round to give me a quote was friendly and professional. He didn't make me feel uncomfortable in my own home and gave me all the information I needed without being pushy.
I did not have to wait long to have my door fitted and when the fitters came they were friendly and efficient. Their work was very tidy and they took away all the rubbish and my old door.
The door itself is of a high quality and I feel it has greatly improved the appearance of the front of my house.

Poor Service Poor Doors
On January 13th 2017 had two doors fitted on my house. The back door wasn't put in straight and the front door wouldn't close probably G2s game back out after speaking to 2 rude members of thee management team. And re fitted them the fitter wrecked my walls lumps or silicone everywhere. The front door was still broken. Fitter came back out and refused to work on the front door. G2s couldn't care less if I was a happy customer. The manufacturers came out and said did the from door was broken due to poor fitting. and nearly 3 months on I still have a broken door and no closer to getting it fixed. G2s couldn't careless I wouldn't ever use them again and would advise anyone who is thinking about using them no to

Service Overall Excellent
This was a relatively small job, G2S fitted 3 Windows this week at my daughter's house. The order, survey and fit went very smoothly. All visits were on time the Company representatives were courteous, polite and professional and we were very pleased with the overall job on completion.
Will be ordering more windows in the new year from G2S. THE

Poor Customer Service
Great products, good installation, poor after sale customer service (Silvia). Called to get someone round to performed a small mastic repair only to be informed 'nobody available for a week', got booked in for the following Thursday, time off, waited in all afternoon only to be called late afternoon to say they won't be round till the following week. Not happy.

Professional Friendly Polite
Had G2s out for a quote for Windows, friendly, didn't feel pressured to buy. Ordered the windows, friendly, professional fitters, done a great job, although they had to re-ordered a window due to wrong measurements I was kept informed once it was in and fitting arranged. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting windows, doors etc. Was willing to clean up afterwards but I done it as I went along for which they were grateful.

Bifold Doors & Triple Glazing Windows
Visited Bridgend showroom to assess products. Arranged sales visit to house, salesman helpful and not pushy, decided to place order. Survey soon after. Installation 10 weeks later. Some delay of window frames from manufacturer. 3 days installation time. Both fitters were excellent. No damage to internal decoration. Very tidy and kept us informed of their actions and often asked for our preferred choice of edging finishes. Order consisted of 2.4 metre bifold triple glazed aluminium door, 4 aluminium triple glazed windors and an engineered timber front door.
Very pleased with installation and appearance.

We Purchased A Conservatory To Replace An Existing
We purchased a conservatory to replace an existing one. We had a brick base and needed just needed a new conservatory placed on top of the brick foundations. The work was meant to take less than 1 week to complete. It actually took 3 months to rectify all the following problems -
1. Conservatory was left 'structurally unstable' and the roof need to be re fitted and tightened up as you could physically lift the glass roof from inside the conservatory. The glass didn't rest on the metal structure. The conservatory frame was not level
2. Trickle vents inside the conservatory were inserted upside down
3. The window ledges weren't fit for purpose and all needed replacing. They were not level and too small in some areas.
4. The strip of plastic that the roof fan is attached to was hanging off the wall and the plastic that covers the roof joints in the centre of the roof was loose and not covering up the metal structure
5. The fitter used sealant that you couldn't paint over, despite being told i could, this all needed removing as we couldn't decorate properly
6. The guttering was fitted incorrectly and was leaking
7. The down pipe from the guttering had been glued and didn't fit properly
8. The outside window ledges had plastic sheeting underneath and despite having clear signage saying remove after fitting had been left in place
9. Drainage tray had not been inserted under the lead flashing. Potential leakage in years to come
10. At the pitch of the roof where the conservatory meets the brick wall we had specifically asked the fitter to fill the whole as the brick was exposed. He agreed he would. At a later date we found that it had not been filled and large plastic beading had been placed over this to conceal the hole.
11. The last issue was the roof leaked when it rained. The conservatory had to be redecorated twice all at our expense.
I would never use this company again. Despite them rectifying all the problems, we had to take annual leave and unpaid leave days so that the company could come back on the days they were available to sort all the issues out. They did not always have fitters available on our days off from work. When the fitter left he stood over me to sign to say i was happy with the work, i felt very vulnerable and uncomfortable. He wrote on the paper work - 'no damage to floor', i had obviously been into the conservatory and looked at the finished job but it wasn't until i had mopped and cleaned the room that i noticed damage to the wooden flooring. At this stage it was too late to do anything. Apparently the fitter doesn't get paid until you have signed the form. So just to warn anyone in future to check thoroughly before signing - even if that means cleaning first!!
I have loads of photos, unfortunately i cannot upload them to here.
We've also had a terrible experience. I would be interested to know which branch of G2S you dealt with. Thanks
