We just had our conservatory roof replaced with a solid roof and we also had a patio door removed and replaced with a large window. In addition a fair amount of rendering removed and replaced on our gable wall. The job did over run but to be fair the weather was dreadful and the men were working outside in pouring rain. There were 2 teams. One responsible for removing old roof and installing new one plus window. The other responsible for 'building works' including removal of rendering, repairing/meshing old brickwork and re rendering as well as the internal plastering. Both teams were very pleasant to deal with. The work has been carried out to a good standard. The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is because I would say that communication could be better. The building team did not have the building plan or specification which I think would have been helpful on a few occasions. Also on a couple of occasions I felt that Softview could have communicated with us a bit better to reassure us, as the project over ran and we were getting anxious as to the end date. However that aside, I would use them again and I would recommend them.

Conservatory ordered in August 2021. Old one dismantled and left for 3 wks with air-con unit exposed. New one started in Jan 22. The base was measured wrong and new footings and brick work put onto out of line base and now the whole conservatory is slightly wonky. Doors don't open or shut properly and windows out of alignment. Workers been back many times to adjust to no avail.

If you value your money & sanity please avoid them. Any snagging jobs never get done.

Plastering inside had to be redone due to being thrown on in a terrible state. 5 new layers later it looks reasonable. However this is all 1 year 2 months later and its still not finished! Outside works not complete and building inspector won't sign off due to covered up air bricks and gutters with roofing felt never trimmed and blocking gutters.

If you value your sanity and money please avoid them. Like all the other reviews you find on google/trustpilot etc - PLEASE READ before bothering with this company as you will only be disappointed...

To date they are now offering to sue, so we are taking legal action.

I booked for them to come out to price a window, they never turned up, I phoned them up and they did not have us booked in for appointment and never knew what was talking about. AVOID don't waist your time.

Unfortunately, cannot recommend. We purchased a ~£40k conservatory which you would expect to command the attention of a relatively small local company. However, it soon became apparent that the planning and preparation stage was severely lacking in attention to detail. What we had in the contract in terms of internal requirements the fitter seemed unaware. As a result, what was billed as a two week install became sixteen weeks. Key items were missed, most notably a raised floor which had been forgotten. Also, an overly large roof was misordered (the fitter showed us the paperwork which detailed the mistake) which we had to accept or face months of delays with solicitors getting involved. There were also further issues with misordered or unordered parts including the patio doors and guttering which also held up the job. Communication was very poor except when the company was chasing money. Notably, several promised site visits to address our concerns never happened. In the end we had to hold back some payments to ensure the floor was put in and remaining work completed. Our advice is not to hand over any payment until 100% completed as you quickly fall off their priority list. Finishing was also poor, we had to put a lot of work into fixing the sub-standard skirting work ourselves for example. The final tidying and cleaning promised in the contract also never took place.

I don’t even know where to start. The fitters didn’t turn up until gone 9 every day. One Friday they didn’t even turn up as one of them was going to a concert in the evening. They said they were coming Sunday so we waited for them and they didn’t show!

We have a dog and a toddler and we kept finding shards of glass and screws even though they said they had tidied up.

The plasterer and electrician were amazing and worked incredibly hard.

The fitters had to return because we were so unhappy, they painted the metal supports as someone was taking the tiles up in our conservatory. It was mentioned that they would be dusty and the fitters said that softview were desperate for their money!

A painter was then sent to fix the mistake, he did an amazing job and was here a few hours where as the fitters painted them in 15 minutes.

I was then dealing with Someone and said how unhappy I was with the fitters and I didn’t want them to return to correct our guttering and he assured me that they wouldn’t be back and if it came to it he would do it. As a softview van pulled up at 8:30 I thought that maybe we had been listened to but no it was the original fitters again!

Our neighbours want to replace their roof like we have done but I am going to have to tell them to find someone else.

They have just called again asking for the final payment, no offer of a discount with all the issues we have had.

Avoid at all costs - they say they are a family business but they are not at all!

Stay well clear, terrible customer service. Don’t know where to start.

Defaulted on £1600 discount which was agreed.

Didn’t provide a front door which was in the contract.

Once they have your money they don’t return emails or calls.

The aftercare on poor workmanship is none existent.They just don’t turn up.This is my third day that I have taken off work.

Excuses after excuses ware you down till you finally get mugged off.Bad experience don’t be fooled.

Excellent service from start to finish. Cannot fault the service we received from first choosing our windows in the showroom to the scaffolders arriving on time, and excellent fitters who also arrived on time, and fitted the windows with no fuss and cleaned up afterwards. Scaffolding was left up for a few days so we could paint around the windows outside. Although there was hardly any touching up to do. We are very pleased with our new windows and the service we received in getting them. Well done Softview

we had soffits facias and guttering fitted to match the existing ones on our extension this was a tester to see how the company works for possible future plans. The installation took one day - two days was quoted. The fitters worked hard throughout the day while heavy rain fell when finished cleared up. was asked to inspect prior to leaving had a quick look - should have had a better look as upon further inspection the following day found a few things that required attention phoned up and stated all things wrong all sorted a few days later and finished off nicely now.

Very pleased with the quality of the products and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Softview to family, friends or neighbors

My house has been transformed with my new windows doors and soffits facias and guttering. The installation took four days as quoted and the fitters worked hard throughout with very little disruption and always cleared up at the end of each day. 2 - 3 day job took 3 weeks in the end. Unsatisfactory work mean't workmen having to come back many times to get it right. Often not appearing when arranged. Empty and meaningless apologies. Dreadful communication. Wouldn't recommend to anyone !!!!!
