We ordered a full set of windows for our house over a year ago. We have had faulty &damaged windows which the firm just wanted to paint and installers replacing our windows that were going to install the new frames with no glass as they didn’t have it, with wood instead of glass in our living room. They have told us repeatedly they have all the items to complete the install and never do. They do not answer calls and then phone on the Day before to do an install next day. I am not sure they know what good customer service looks like.

I would never use them again and would recommend others avoid. We have had more than 10 visits to get this far and it is still not completed.

I would give no stars if possible. The biggest most expensive mistake I have ever made.

Asked for acoustic window replacements for our 2 back bedroom windows as we have bad noise pollution which was affecting our health as we are senior citizens. Was persistently persuaded to have comfort glass windows and told that they had exactly the same acoustic ability with added benefits, which cost a lot of money. A few months down the line found we were still being kept awake with noise pollution. We put this to the manager who said that they definitely had the same acoustic ability of up to 39dec. Looked online and found out that comfort glass is mainly for retaining heat in the home and only had a small percentage of acoustic ability. They have point blank refused to replace the windows with what we asked for in the first place and state that we have got what we signed for. We wont be having further window replacements by T&K and would not recommend them.

T & K Conservatory sales pitch was good and very informative BUT ..... As soon as we signed on the dotted line nothing went right. The survey was not correct. The design we all agreed to could suddenly could not be done. A new design a new agreement signed then had to be changed with larger windows which we did not agree to. Builders were removed from site due to certain promises by T & K not fulfilled regarding the matching of the bricks. Floor screed wasn't level so tillers couldn't tile then tillers ran out of the floor tiles and had to come back for the Fourth time. Finally a very bad smell ran through the conservatory and we found the builder had not used the correct double seal cover which required a further visit. Overall the finished product is good but not worth the trouble we had getting to the finished product. I would never recommend this company they are so difficult to deal with when things start going wrong....

End of April 2013 we asked 3 different companies for a Conservatory quotes, including both product and services - and we selected T&K.

They were not the cheapest, not the most expensive but for our final decision impacted a lot the visit to T&K show-room in Wellingborough and have possiblity to see their product variants and ask any questions in peace and good time without a salesman breathing to your neck whole the time. They also have the windows and doors factory next to show room - increase even more the credibility aspect.

Now the Conservatory is ready and here is my process view and ratings a bit more detailed, including the sales phase:

SALES: 4.5-STARS - a slightly 'I have seen everything' attitude (or just my perception) and needed some 'push' to get to the point but finally everything was OK, he was flexible in meeting times, knowledgeable of the product etc. - after all he did sell us T&K conservatory :-)

Note: for T&K you do not have to make any downpayment at the ordering/contract signing stage, you pay (40%)first time only when the base and bricks are in place and ready - this definately removed our concerns towards (risk) the T&K as a reliable supplier.

THE PRODUCT: 5-STARS - it just great, good quality look & feel, a lot of value for the money; we have even have had few very heavy rain showers and evertyhing is just fine.

SERVICES: 4.5-STARS - started in time as agreed, proceed very well almost till the end and with excellent work quality. And they even - not very common in my UK experience - cleaned their trash very well.

Survey work - we could ask your final questions/concerns of the product and process and we got good answers (builded more trust to T&K)

Base concrete and brick work - just great; came in agreed time, finishes in agreed time)

Frame and Glass installation work - if possible even better than previous team; real professionals

Electrical work - the work inside and outside conservatory was great but in addict insulations were not put back as before after new cables connected there

Plumping work - needed 2nd visit to to put the new radiotor in level (I did not have time to check it during their 1st visit but you would assume it goes by default).

But unfortunately in the end of project came some delays - the screeding work was delayed twice at the last moment and that had a chain reaction to tiles work and overall finalisation. From the original 5-week project plan we ended to 7 weeks.

BUT I DEFINATELY RECOMMEND.
