Consistancy Of Water
Bought 2.5 ltr white gloss to use for painting exterior windows. Was fine for that, used about 1/6th of tin. Tin then closed for 9 months and kept indoors. On opening to use again found a thin skin on the paint. Tried to stir the paint found it was like water and no thickness or sediment at bottom of the tin. Trying to apply it was very difficult running off the brush and on the wood work so difficult to get coverage and no brush marks or covering underlying marks.
Would like to know whether anyone else has had this experience.

Like Most Things In Life, If You're An Idiot Blame Your Tool
If you follow the basic principles of using gloss paint you cannot go wrong. Paint covers beautifully and the finish is great. Colour is lovely. Just painted my front door and am very pleased with the results.
To the reviewer with the strange green tint, could I suggest mixing the paint properly. Like most (all) gloss paints this will settle during use so frequent storing of the pot is essential. .
Not White But Green!
I purchased this Sandtex One Coat exterior Gloss Paint in Brilliant White to paint my garage door. The rest of my house has white windows, doors etc. My neighbours houses in the cul de sac are the same.
I'd prepared the surfaces with two Sandtex white undercoats, sanding and washing down etc. last weekend. Today, Friday after work I put the top gloss coat on after lightly sanding and washing the door. The gloss and has a Greeney white tinge to it. It became apparent very quickly as I painted it that the colour was wrong, it was even more obvious where I'd painted over the white undercoat. I even came back into the house to check I'd purchased Brilliant White, I had. As I'd started painting I couldn't stop. It looks dreadful. My neighbours adjoining door needed repainting but it now looks brighter and far whiter than mine. What a waste of time, energy and money!
I will be contacting Sandtex tomorrow for their opinion. I have read that other people have had this problem with this paint on other sites, so please be aware.

Excellent Paint
Don't listen to the negative reviews here. This paint is very good and im fussy. Its easy to apply and leaves no brush marks if you use a quality brush. No flaking and leaves a great shine. You do need to rub down and stir well but if you are a good painter you will see a good finish.

Don't Waste Your Money
I couldn't agree more-this paint was a nightmare. It seemed to go on okay for the first coat (I washed down and sanded the door before painting) but did also have some "sags" in the paint. When I went to put on the second coat the next day I found it had cracked in many places and looks awful. Now I have to have someone come and fix the job. Fortunately, the paint was part of a 3 for 2 offer so didn't cost me anything but I will now have to pay to have it fixed.

Within The First Few Minutes I Could Tell This Was
Within the first few minutes I could tell this was going to be a bad job. It was like painting with treacle, and not enough pigment in the paint. I've ended up with a blotchy door, and despite using correct techniques, have ended up with 'sags' of paint. I'm going to rub the door down again and re-do with some decent gloss!!

Read Reviews About Being Difficult To Apply. I Fin
Read reviews about being difficult to apply. I find that difficult to understand. It is dead easy to use as I have been using Sandex one coat gloss to paint windows for the last 3 days. Maybe a little different in consistency but giving the tin a good stir before you start may help.
Anyway I have found it easy and quick to apply. Used it for over a year now. If it lasts on my windows for 6 years then I will give it 5 stars in 2015 ! Also a better container with a decent lid would help.

Sandtex Exterior Gloss One Coat Might Feel Slightl
Sandtex Exterior Gloss One Coat might feel slightly different to other paints and have a different consistency but it is not a great deal different to normal gloss paint and is easy to use I used to paint my Mothers and my own bungalow alternating each and every year as we live near the coast, I read about this paint in the which magazine where they gave it a very high rating and thought it may last longer, after using, I haven't painted either bungalow for over six years and the paint still looks good and sound the only place I have had to paint are where the under surface should have had more attention on my part, The least I can do for saving me all the extra painting is give my review. Thank you Sandtex

Sandtex Exterior Gloss One Coat Is Super Dooper Pa
Sandtex Exterior Gloss One Coat is SUPER DOOPER PAINT and by the way just like something thats worth doing is worth doing well, this applies to this paint, a bit of extra effort to apply is well worth it. Difficult to apply but results so pleasing.
This Is Quite Possibly The Worst Paint I Have Ever
This is quite possibly the worst paint I have ever used. It is very thick, and unlike normal paint, it does not become less viscous with brushing. Using proper technique and finishing strokes etc just results in drag, visible brush marks etc. Because you can't spread the paint correctly it runs and drips all over the place
It is a very flexible product, and remains so in the long-term. This means it is very hard to sand down when you lose your patience with it and want to paint over it with Dulux Trade Weathershield, which I would strongly recommend.
