Had a fabulous service with the samples. However since then it has been disastrous. The website had a fault and didn't include underlay. Then their system rejected the payment but still deducted my card!! Spent ages proving it was me including time on the phone to the card company and also sending screen shots of my statement. Eventually they agreed to refund but still waiting to see when it comes through.

I had a fairly good experience in the store, but it went downhill from there. The original delivery didn't arrive on the day agreed, the logistics company said the label had fallen off my pallet and there was no way of tracing me or my address. I'd taken the day off work to receive it so it wasn't good, I found the logistics company less than sympathetic -hard to deal with. When the delivery finally came, the driver had lost the invoice so I couldn't sign it off. When I did later check some of the packages, a few of them were damaged at the ends, the flooring was split and chipped. The packages of flooring were very poorly wrapped -there is no end protection. I called Wood and Beyond who noted my complaint but had a 48 hour delay on processing complaints/ queries after sale. I found that strange as I could have bought more flooring immediately, but not got a service response. Two days later W&B got back and offered some replacement flooring, I received a smaller pack (some of those damaged were long boards) I mailed back to request a long board replacement but received no reply. I wouldn't use this company again.

Wood and Beyond have Terrible Customer Service. They did not have the specification of timber I ordered but charged my credit card anyway. Offered to send a cheaper alternative & would refund the difference. THIS HAS NOT BEEN DONE. WOOD AND BEYOND DO NOT REPLY TO EMAILS (I've sent 4 without reply) and they do not return phone calls.

AVOID WOOD AND BEYOND!!

I cannot emphasise enough how shocked we were at both the service and nature of this supplier and the effort they made in an attempt to deceive / bully us into accepting wrongly delivered flooring!

Having visited their showroom we placed a large order of expensive engineered wood flooring. As they had no samples we took photos of the display board, comprising 3 long planks with the name and code number placed at the top. We had to pay the full cost prior to delivery. They delivered the flooring some 10 days later which looked nothing like that in the showroom and had the appearance of a very cheaply finished product, therefore, it was turned away. I immediately contacted the office thinking it was a simple mistake on their side and was told that I was wrong to have turned it away as they had delivered the right product and would have to pay. Nothing I said or wrote to them was acknowledged and they continued aggressively to accuse me of being wrong. I said that I would come into the showroom the next day to discuss the variation. When I arrived a new display board of 3 planks had been made using the wood from the rejected delivery with the old code number at the top! I asked to see the manager who whilst looking at the new display board and several photos taken of the (hugely different) original, some 12 days earlier, denied any differences! He shouted at me to leave the showroom and was very insulting. At this point they stopped communication with me and I think it is only because I stood upto them and threatened to contact trading standards, the office of fair trading and the police for 'deception' that I got my money back 10 days later. We cannot be the only people to have suffered the bullying / criminal tactics employed by Wood and Beyond!?

I had been dithering for a while over whether to buy from a more expensive supplier or from a cheaper website like Wood and Beyond. In the end the difference in price swayed me and I bought the Select Smoked Oak 20mm.

The purchase was easy and the delivery was as promised (hence 2 stars). Unfortunately the quality was not good enough. I bought "Select" oak but the wood was very knotty and the knots had been filled with a very unnatural-looking orangey-beige resin. Of the 5 boards in the box we opened, I would have been happy to lay just one. We paid to return the entire order at our own expense as obviously W&B refused to pay. However, they did refund us promptly after the return.

In the end we did go for a more expensive supplier and the quality was better.(As an example, the floor we bought was classified as "Millrun", ie. mixed grade but to me no board has looked as knotty as the "Select" from Wood and Beyond).

One final thing: even if you are happy with Wood and Beyond, don't buy stair nosings from them - they charge £32 each when you can get identical ones elsewhere for £10.

I refurbushed my kitchen and bought flooring and a wortop and i can say that im very happy with the finished product i was worreid at first that my underfloor heating wouldnt go through but its actoully perfectly compatable with flooring, plus the fitters of wnb fitted everything in less then two days abd gave me a fair price aswell.

I purchased Paris white hardwood flooring a month ago and I'm very satisfied with the finished product they also install the flooring and the stairs and leveled out the floor since I had some leveling issues with the previous floor,

Couldn't ask for more great stuff.

I recently come across the site as I was looking to order a good quality wooden floor for my new house. I was amazed by the prices so I ordered a sample and I have to say the quality is just exceptional. I was very satisfied with the customer service as well. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone who is looking for a good quality for great price.

I called this company on three occasions asking if the engineered timber flooring was FSC and they told me that all their products are FSC rated and to look on their website for the certificate.

It transpires once i asked for proof on email that the product was not FSC.

Do not trust this company, they are liars.

We had 5 worktops of Solid Oak prime from Wood and Beyond.

This is looks great.

we had to oil it ourself, but all the cutting made by them as per our requirments!

We are very please with the outcome and surly will buy again on future.
