I'll Start With A Positive...
I'll start with a positive, the initial ordering and help from the sales team, to get your money. However this company appear to be a complete shambles when it comes to delivery, they give a week delivery window, when I asked if it could be narrowed down they advised to call late Wednesday the week before, when I did I was told it would be a Thursday to Saturday delivery. Then delivery week came and at 6pm Tuesday I get a text to say it will be wednesday PM or Thursday, I rang first thing Wednesday to explain we couldn't take delivery today and they said they would get a manager to call me as the driver was on a one day run. No one called back despite me calling 2 more times throughout the day each time being told they were in a meeting, I got a call at about 5pm from the driver saying they were about an hour away, the drivers turned up at around 6:30 after the office was shut everyone was in the dark, the driver said he had been waiting for a call too, as they were told they may not be delivering it today. He tried to call HQ but everyone had gone home, I had to send them away as we had no where safe and dry to store the kitchen. Thursday morning I get on the phone and managed to speak to a manager, I explained the situation. She then read loads of terms and conditions of ordering and didn't seem to understand the situation or believe what we had been told previous and was very condescending. I said that we are in the situation we are now and we need a solution, she said she would need time to work out what to do and to call me back. We agreed 1pm for a call back, she called back before time and said that the kitchen would be delivered this weekend, Saturday or Sunday, and we would get a call from the delivery team an hour before hand. At last I thought great, Friday came and I got a text confirmation of delivery for Saturday afternoon. I cancelled all plans for that afternoon and waited in, the afternoon dragged on and on, in to the evening, 9pm came still no call all hope was fading rapidly. Its now Sunday evening and I feel like I'm back in lockdown, just this time no kitchen and a bank statement full of Uber eats. There is no hope of contacting them at the weekend either, I have even called the number they rang on, on Wednesday however was shocked to find that it's the personal phone of the driver who's on holiday, he advised that he would help if he could but there wouldn't be anyone he could contact at this time on a Sunday so to call in the morning. I have kitchen fitters due to arrive in the morning and I don't think they will get far without the kitchen!

Great Kitchen With Helpful Staff
I love my new kitchen! From design to ordering was made really easy and I would never had done it and so saved so much money without the help of the sales staff. Not pushy in the slightest and advised me on how to make it cheaper. Well impressed. I’ve got the look that I was after and cheaper than I thought. The only negative was 1 damaged unit in transit but this was replaced pretty quickly.

Do Not Buy From This Company
Please do not buy from this company. I bought a kitchen in June and 13 weeks later after 12 deliveries still waiting for doors that are not damaged.
No compensation offered.
This company should not be trading and I urge people not to buy from them for their own sake.

Broken Promises And Lack Of Resolution When Things Go Wrong!
We purchased a kitchen from DIY Kitchens for delivery back end of May for a holiday let business that we were due to open mid June.
A request came through to move our order out and I agreed for a delivery early June, which would allow us still to open our business on time. Sadly one unit was put together wrong and the paint work on the plinth was damaged.
The issue then started when trying to replace the damaged unit. We were on several occasions promised a turnaround in 4-5 days and yet it took the best part of Month for a replacement unit.
Throughout the period the company has been poor in responding to us. Also the appreciation for our situation has been appalling. We requested on several occasions to speak to a manager and was told 2 days every time - these calls never happened (Missed on e call from a manager). Last week we had a call scheduled with one of the directors who never called.
The unit turned up Monday 22nd July but due to our holiday now having started we cannot finish the flat until September and we will be thousands out of pocket.
However I would not deal with DIY Kitchens again - not because of the damages (These things happen) but due to the lack of resolution and communication plus the persistent broken promises.
Appalling
the kitchen itself is no better or worse than a shed kitchen, ie Wickes, Wren ect. the price is the same as a shed kitchen. The awful thing about the company is their staff, unlike B&Q, Wickes, Homebase, they seem to treat customers with complete disrespect. Would not recommend.

Fab Kitchen And Service
My kitchen is now complete and what a great addition to the house it is. Solid wood units and quality fittings and much cheaper than all the other quotes I got, some for a lesser flat pack product too.
Really happy with the pre and aftersales service and all my questions were answered throughout. There was even some advice on your site on how to get my kitchen even cheaper, which was very educational and commendable of you for advising on this.
I had 1 small issues where an end panel had been dropped at some point, as the packaging was damaged on a corner and the end panel was damaged as a result. This was replaced within the week though without any fuss.

Disappointing To Say The Least
We have experienced a catalogue of disasters with this company and, whilst many reviews here suggest this is a great kitchen company, we have found very little evidence to support this. In fact, I am so disappointed and angry at the way in which they have dealt with our order that, having never reviewed anyone before, I felt it important to share our experience so that others can consider this before ordering.
We ordered a bespoke kitchen in January after visiting their showroom. Kitchen was delivered in February with multiple issues from blistering paint, scratches, drag marks in the paint and chips in the doors (some of which had even been poorly touched up at the factory). On closer inspection we found issues with almost EVERY door and several panels were damaged in some way. We were also missing doors as these had apparently been quality checked as not up to standard and these were to follow in a week.
We contacted the company by support ticket but had to follow up by telephone after receiving no response. They agreed to send someone to collect the doors for inspection that week and coincidentally on the same day the other missing doors arrived. It turned out, these too were blistered.
After another week without a kitchen and no update from DIY, we sent another support ticket. Guess what? No reply. A second ticket and yes, you’ve got it. No reply.
Finally, a telephone call from us prompted an apology and a promise that the doors would be returned to us this Sunday as they were playing catch up following poor weather. I was even given the telephone number of the person coming so that I could keep in touch with timings. We’re currently unable to live in our home and are staying with relatives some distance away so we messaged the fitter Sunday morning only to find that the doors weren’t ready and he wasn’t coming to fit. Nobody had told us so, again, another disappointment and inconvenience.
We’re at our wits end and just wished that we had never used this company. Every review we read gave us reassurance and confidence in DIY Kitchens but we have been left without a kitchen for nearly three weeks, non-existent communication from the company and unable to move back home.
Our only advice to anyone considering buying a kitchen from them is to proceed with caution. We have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and every opportunity to remedy the situation but feel devastated that we’re still having to fight for updates and a resolution. You have been warned.

Very Pleased With Service And Quality
We renovated my daughter's kitchen using DIY Kitchens and very happy with the result. I was recommended to use this firm by a work colleague who used them and was very impressed with the quality and the price and I'm so glad we went with them as saved 50% on a high street showroom kitchen. DIY use the same doors as some of these showrooms for but massively reduced price as they don't have the designer and showroom overheads. All or most use the same MFC carcass and edging. From ordering online to delivery, we have had no problems at all. We were worried from reading some reviews that there were missing parts from the delivery, but everything was delivered on time and without any problems.
Customer service was very helpful in picking up any errors to our plan and order and always happy to help with queries. We have just finished the installation, it looks stunning. We even got the quartz from them which we saved £1000 from buying it locally. I chose painted hardwood which is solid and in a colour of our choice from Farrow and Ball colour chart.
Any negatives? Very few, eg:
Once you take delivery, you cannot return or exchange units if you made an error in your plan. We had to move some electric meters and allowed a 400mm unit to house them, but after they were moved we actually needed a 600mm and they wouldn't exchange the units. I had to order a new 600mm unit, which was made, painted and delivered very promptly;
I would have liked the drawers to have been a bit deeper to fit some of the large utensils;
They dont make bespoke units, but if you get a good fitter, you can order the individual plinths and end panels etc and fitter can bespoke it for you.
Not having a designer service means you need to be the designer and if you are happy to put the time in to do it yourself and find a good fitter, it's worth the discounted price you are getting. I'm no kitchen designer and it was my first time doing this, so it was a bit stressful, but surprised myself! I am now thinking of doing my own kitchen and brought in some high street kitchen designers to get some ideas and can say I was not impressed with their designs, they are clearly looking at aesthetics and not practical solutions, I am now a strong believer that you are the best designer of your own kitchen as you know exactly how you want it to work. And some of these designers even charge you for the design! I will be using DIY again.
Q&A
My DIY kitchen was installed this summer. It is a matt painted finish. I have found it impossible to remove greasy fingerprints. The finish seems to absorb grease! I have tried Cillit Bang Grease & Grime, and even straight vinegar. Nothing works. Does anyone have a suggestion how I might clean the doors?
