Terrible Service

I bought a kitchen via Flitwick Jewsons who recommended fitters and gave them glowing reviews. They also supplied me with a silestone worktop.

8.5 weeks after work on my kitchen started it is still not finished. The worktop company they used were incompetent and having attempted to make the worktop 3 times and getting it wrong a new company was called in causing further delays. The fitters they recommended were lazy and slow and walked off he job in frustration at waiting for the worktop. Jewsons promised they would source alternative fitters and have now reneged on this commitment. Their CEO had been dismissive and is unbothered by the problems his company has caused. Please buy a kitchen anywhere but Jewsons!!! I hugely regret the decision Iad Sri buy a kitchen from them and use their recommended fitters

Very Thoughtful Service.

I recently visited my local Jewson Building supplier in Kingston-upon-Hull.

My reason for this was having trouble with a leaking sink unit tap which unfortunately is not of a standard manufacture.

The Sales manager made a phone call, received a drawing (Sent it to me via email) with several sizes of sink tap middles that might be useful to replace my leaking ones, sorry to say neither of these we both decided would be guaranteed to fix my problem.

After making a phone call to the depot I returned and again got into conversation with him and it was decided that we should use a tap conversion kit which since it was stocked and on the shelf, would be returnable if not suitable.

I took the item home and found that it cured my problem perfectly and of course that saved me calling out a plumber for a job which even their minimum price probably would not cover.

Luckily I did not have to crawl under my sink unit, a good thing at seventy one years old I can tell you.

I saved having to replace my sink unit taps by fitting the conversion kit at a much cheaper price.

Just goes to show that if you want a Jewson job done that is the place to start.

Customer Service? Yeah, Right...

I don't know why Jewsons open their doors to the public, they are surly and unhelpful, and treated me like some kind of nuisance when they found out all I was looking for was a single can of paint.

I went into the Exeter branch at Sowton looking for a small can of matt black paint suitable for oak beams. I know there are several manufacturers who make such a product but they are difficult to find at your average diy store and I thought Jewsons would be a good place to try. Couldn't find any on the shelves but there was a large desk with 'Customer Service' writ large above it, so I thought they might be able to look it up or something on their computers and see if they had some in stock or were able to get it for me.

I explained what I was looking for to an unsmiling bruiser behind the desk.

"Dunno, they're all out on the shelves."

"I couldn't see any."

"The shelves if we got it."

"Oh."

And that was that. I came home and ordered it on line. So much for the local touch.

Appalling Customer Services

Whilst our local branch is brilliant - other branches are rude, disinterested, have no idea what they are doing and cannot seem to keep the right details on file. Customer services will ask for your complaint - then completely ignore you. If you want good service pick your branch carefully or avoid.

My Kitchen Nightmare

My kitchen was ordered through the Ipswich branch and all was initially good. However, things started to go downhill when I was told that the kitchen would be in on a particular day and it didn't arrive for another 10 days. Then the day it was due to be delivered I was informed that my whole kitchen had been damaged in transit and would have to be remade. This was done in one day, and it was obvious from the quality of the units that arrived. Not everything arrived with the delivery, all the base unit doors were missing, drawer fronts, trims, feature unit surrounds, dishwasher, all these had not been delivered. A larder unit had been delivered incorrectly and two units were damaged and were unusable. The China sink was smashed in the box. The sink was replaced the next day and the dishwasher was delivered. The damaged units were reordered and I was promised that these would be delivered by the following weekend as I had advised jewson that I had a carpenter booked for the Monday and I must have the replacement units. Today, Friday, one of the three replacement units has arrived, there are still items missing which is preventing the completion of the base units ready for the worktops. It is now 3 weeks since I was first told the kitchen was arriving in full and I am still awaiting units, trims etc, our original kitchen was stripped out on the basis of the advice from jewsons which was completely misleading.

I would not recommend jewson kitchens to anyone following my experience and strongly advise people look elsewhere.

Went To Jewson's Kitchens On Recommendation From S

Went to Jewson's Kitchens on recommendation from someone after being badly let down by another company. Very happy with service, supply, design. Excellent selection of worktops. Brilliant customer service. Only a couple of very minor negative things like a screw coming loose some time after fitting.

To Date, From My Initial Contact With A Jewsons Ki

To date, from my initial contact with a Jewsons Kitchens in Castleford in West Yorkshire I have waited an astonishing 26 days for a quote. I know what I want, have emailed them my unit requirements, the sizes and all the appliances and even requested a quote just for the cabinets if they can't manage anything else. A kitchen planner has been out to check the measurements. He phoned me last Monday to apologise for the delay and said he would do the quote the following day. I have still not heard from him. The management assured me that they would beat any other kitchen retailer quotes such as MFI and B&Q. I have now given up on them. I do not see why I should do the chasing. I have waited patiently. I have not hassled them just sent them a couple of pleasant emails asking if they they've managed to get a price. I am going elsewhere which is a pity because their kitchens looked quite good and well made. Am going back to Wickes. Got a quote from them straight away and plans drawn up.
