The Most Disgraceful Customer Services
The most disgraceful customer services
The most disgraceful customer services. We have had a large number of problems with newly installed kitchen. Have spend at least 40 minutes on the phone and on their website (live chat) to get a response from Wick's customer services. This is totally unacceptable and a disgrace.

Terrible Service, Terrible Fitters, Terrible Products
Kitchen was installed in 2017, all was reasonable at the time apart from the fitter not plumbing the sink in properly. That got resolved easily.
In 2022 our kitchen doors changed colour (went from white to cream), obvious fault during manufacturer.
It took Wickes 11 months to resolve this, 13 days I had to take off work to accommodate all the separate deliveries and the fitter they sent was so incompetent it was untrue. In the end he couldn't actually do the work properly so I had to resort to replacing the doors myself.
Wickes took 11 months to resolve the complaint and offer a bare minimum compensation of £50 per day that I had to take off work. As a self employed engineer who earns between £350 & £550 per day this was an insult.
To top it all, when Wickes eventually agreed to pay compensation of just under £2000 for the trouble, they tried to sign me into an NDA to restrict publication of all their faults and the dangerous working practices we had captured on video during the works.
This company are not to be trusted and if you buy a kitchen or bathroom from them, it's likely it will be terribly installed and not fit for purpose. Be warned.

Terrible Quality And Poor Customer Service
I purchased a kitchen and a bathroom from the carslile store. After payment was taken the problems began it took three months for the work to begin on the kitchen. however both my cooker and bench tops were delayed leaving me a half finished kitchen with no surfaces or sink access to hot and cold water and a temporary cooker for three months. within weeks of completion the cabinet ends on the floor began to split it took months for a response when i was eventually responded to I was told that they accepted no responsibility for the split cabinets as they are not under garuntee. wickes also forgot about my bathroom for 8 months and it required several phone calls to prompt delivery and fitting.

Attempted to place an online order, took some time, checking the store had stock (plenty) yet after trying to pay for the basket said items out of stock, emailed wickes with the details, and basket number, got a fast reply, what is the basket number? replied again, with stock numbers, basket number, screen shot, no reply, waited and waited no reply, so wrote to the CEO got an auto reply saying wait 2 days, so 5 days and ..... why do they call this customer service? there is no service no one cares anymore, and certainly not about the customers

Terrible Service
Ordered a kitchen in February to be fitted in April, installer did not come out to measure until April and stated installation would be September. After complaining another installer visited, promised to install early may and took a further payment.
Reached May advised installation could not be done in the month. Cancelled.
Worst service ever experienced.

Do Not Use
Had a kitchen fitted so badly by one of thier fitters- there was also question over the 'extra charges' wickes were nit interested in that or his behaviour and he is still working for them. After months of arguing with them they eventually refitted the kitchen as it was so bad. Took a year in total and I got compensation of just over £1 a day for the hell they put me through. Once they have your money they don't care.

Just Avoid At All Costs!
A year ago I paid my deposit. It took 6 months to get the kitchen in and it was a total bodge job. Six months after that and it's still not finished. I've been let down 5 times by 2 different fitters. There has been so much poor communication and buck passing, so many mistakes and wrong deliveries (I've had 7 or 8 so far!) I could scream and, in the meantime I have no living room, as it is full of bits of kitchen left over from the fit or needed for the snagging. The contents of my kitchen are in boxes in the bedroom (I live in a small 1-bed flat). I'm sick of living out of boxes. Wickes have left me living in a pigsty for half a year and nobody seems interested in doing anything about it, least of all the fitter who did such a poor job in the first place. If they had told me it would be six months, I could have put my kitchen back together, then dismantled it again for the snagging work. Instead, it's been a torrent of, "we just need to sort this," or "it'll just be a couple of weeks" etc, over and over. I've put in 4 formal complaints about various things, none of which seem to have gone anywhere and customer services, although friendly and well-intentioned, simply don't have the power to do much more than send messages round the company. I desperately wish I'd never even heard of Wickes. Avoid at all costs.

After Sales And Warranty. Be Warned !!!
In September 2022 my wife and I ordered a new kitchen from Wickes, I was a little dubious at the time being a 'cheap' DIY outlet. However, having placed my order and paid some £18,000, which was not cheap, the kitchen was supplied and fitted. Up to recently everything was fine, the installation was excellent and the finished product looked great.
However, about six weeks ago we noticed that one of the handless doors was cracking and realised the laminated coating was breaking away. We contacted our local store who escalated our concerns to customer services. They in turn agreed to replace the door on a supply only basis. I wrote to them on the 21st March some eight days ago reference installation and have not received the courtesy of a reply. The door arrived today the 29th March and again I attempted to contact the original writer but no answer. I therefore went on their chat line. I would add the door in question is attached to a built in unit and is not a simple replacement which I could do.
After various written comments from both parties it was made very clear that the fault was wear and tear. After Only eighteen months !!!!. The person on Chat was adamant Wickes would not honour their guarantee and refit the new door and it was being supplied only as a goodwill gesture i.e. supply only.
This evidently shows the product is not fit for purpose and further their guarantee is not worth the paper it is written on, 2 YEARS ON DOORS. Incidentally they confirmed their warranty covers poor workmanship and manufacturing faults. I would suggest that Laminate coating pealing off after just 18 months was a manufacturing fault.
To conclude, I feel very let down by Wickes and would never use them again. their products may look good whilst they are new but be warned if you have a problem they will probably not fully address the situation as in my case. This is certainly not the service I would have expected and falls far short of all the sales patter received prior to handing over your money. I am now left with a bill of around £80 to employ a professional fitter to install it.

Wickes Bathroom Installation Stay Well Clear !!!!!
I had a bathroom fitted in August 22 in September I noticed the bath was cracked, contacted the fitter and Wickes customer services and at first all went well an new bath was delivered and I arranged a weekend for the fitter to change the bath.
Know one turned up and no phone call to let me know they were not coming.
After a lot of phone calls I arranged a new date., The fitter changed the bath and all seemed OK until a few weeks later I noticed a stain appearing on my dinning room ceiling.
I called the fitter and he came round and fixed the problem and said he would be back once it had dried out to paint the ceiling but that night I noticed the stain was spreading and the artex was starting to come away.
Again after many phone calls to the fitter and Wickes Customer services he came round and agreed to repair the ceiling but at that stage it was clear it needed completely re-artexing and I said I would not be happy if it did not match the existing ceilings pattern.
The fitter came round with a guy who turned out to be a plasterer he re-artexed the ceiling but not to the standard I wanted so I said I would take it up with Wickes, he said he would be back in a couple of days to paint the ceiling but again I heard nothing so ended up painting it myself.
And at this point I also noticed the sealant was coming away from the newly installed bath.
I have been in touch with Wickes customer relations and their first resolution was for me to find someone myself to re-artex the ceiling and find someone to re-seal the bath to which I said No I’ve paid Wickes for the bathroom so it’s down to them to arrange the repairs.
It is now March 2023 and nothing has been done, basically now Wickes have my 7k they are not interested in me as they priorities new installations I basically have to wait until they can be bothered to fit me in.
Wickes customer relations are appalling they do absolutely nothing just excuses after excuses.
So I would advise to Stay well clear!!!
Q&A
Integrated washing machine. Wickes have supplied a normal base unit fascia (door) to use as door for machine. Should it have been a fascia (door) specially intended for machine as the new hinge holes required for machine are half way across existing hinge holes?
I would like to know between Wickes and Wren, which one has better kitchen cabinets e.g. quality?
We are thinking of getting a kitchen from Wickes and have them fit it. Has anyone in Worthing had this done and are the fitters good?
What type of compensation can you expect for a delay of more than 5 months to fit a kitchen?
Hi, sorry to say i received no compensation for the five month delay in fitting my kitchen. Wickes did provide a second fitting team to finish the kitchen, their work was far superior and they painted the kitchen and arranged for it to be tiled - I paid for the tiles- I am still not 100% happy with the kitchen and would never buy from Wickes again, doors are still out of alignment and the dishwasher door makes a dreadful screech each time it is opened and closed! the overall finish looks as if ait has been installed by me rather than a professional!
