Never Again ...

Wish I'd gone elsewhere …

I was planning my kitchen installation and refurb which was significantly delayed due to covid. I purchased worktops, upstands, a sink and taps from worktop express. When I opened the packaging of the Reginox ceramic sink it appeared all good. On setting the sink into the worktop my builder immediately noted a significant 10mm bowing or warping on the near side right corner so this was a manufacturing error. On bringing this to the attention of worktop express they immediately told me I had no right to request replacement as 6 months had passed and because the brand was no longer a supplier to them that they would not support me in any claim under the warranty. My builder had obviously cut the inset into the very expensive (and now realise over priced worktop) so I had to either keep the wonky sink and be reminded daily and possibly have water damage etc to under units over time or buy an exact replacement. So I purchased another one from a different retailer and am left with a useless spare sink and am out of pocket by £200 plus labour costs. I would therefore not recommend anyone using worktop express as they do not treat their customer with a sense of fairness or respect. My builder and another client of mine have both agreed not to purchase their products. To allow no room for a fair resolution given the delays caused by covid and given I have provided unequivocal photo evidence of the manufacturing fault I think is completely wrong

Damaged Worktop Arrived But They Were Not Interested

One of the worktops I ordered had forklift damage. Unfortunately I assumed that they used a reputable delivery company so didn’t check the worktops thoroughly. I cut 2cm off one end before noticing the damage on the other side of the worktop, nowhere near the cut. Apparently this means I can’t return a damaged worktop despite the fact that I could not have caused it. I don’t have a forklift to cause a dent like that! Customer services were very unhelpful. I asked them to look at the pictures that the delivery driver took but they still won’t replace it, offering a 20% discount off another one, leaving me to pay delivery again and to dispose of their damaged worktop. Please try a different company.

I am shocked by their appalling service.

Be Aware Of Quality Issues

I’ve no doubt most of their products are good quality but be wary. The factory edging strip delaminated after 3 months and has caused water damage to the worktop. Bad quality and the company won’t accept responsibility/make it right. Very disappointed

Wow!! Total Garbage.do Not Under Any Circumstances

Wow!! Total garbage.DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE WORKTOP EXPRESS.

I happen to be a master cabinet and chair maker and have used all kinds of hardwoods all my life I"m 58 now and started my apprenticeship when i was 17 so you do the maths!! I think it"s fair to say i am familiar with the procedures of keeping wood in the right environment in particular oak

I make a fair amount of products in my factory but oak worktops are generally good quality from most suppliers and are cost effective so it"s a no brainer to buy in and treat them in the workshop before fitting on site. 4 coats then 2 on site plus any cuts are redone. Just usual practice.

I came across these clowns around 6 months ago. Nice site that read well even to us in the know and they do a 90mm in stead of the usual 45 to 50mm stave top A and B quality(this just means 1 side is better prepared than the other)

Price was no more than fair but the customer really liked the wider plank.

Delivered on time all good, then opened them up the "b" side really was as it says on the tin, The A side was ok but had been filled with resin filler in 2 places.

I let this go simply because i knew these would be removed once the sink had been cut out.

^ 6 weeks after fitting a small crack appeared by the side of the sink. I sent eveything requested, including forms , photos and my fitting practice (which by the way i followed to the letter on their website) only to be told it was my fault, they hadn"t been fit correctly. Now i made the assumption that i have got lucky for around 30 yrs because the practice they use is the same way i have been fitting all my life.

I pointed them in the direction of their method statement only to get a reply . Pls send the kitchen layout so we can do further checks. These are elderly customers of mine who really don"t need the stress so i sent a copy of the working plan used. This wasn"t good enough . They need more photo"s according to quality control, which isn"t going to happen as my customers are stressed out as it is.

It"s plain as day they are just looking for excuses

I actually have the sink cut out in the workshop. i have taken a photo of both A and B sides clearly showing the filling resin used on both I wonder where quality control was then?

Let me tell you i am taking these clowns to court simply because they believe the tops they sell are without peers.

Well i can genuinely say these are by far the worst worktops i have come across.,and they are the worst company i have ever dealt with.

The tops are very poor quality. You just don"t get filling on both surfaces. This puts them in the B B category very very poor.

We all make mistakes in life mine is allowing these people a sale.

In hindsight i should have sent them back and used my usual supplier Lawcris , but having read all the disgruntled people they are loathe to accept any return items.

It must be great having a perfect company with perfect products all the time.

Anyone remember fantasy island?

PLEASE LETS SHUT THIS COMPANY DOWN.

I AM GENUINELY ON A MISSION JUST CAN"T DO WITH AMATEURS PRETENDING TO BE SOMETHING THEY"RE NOT.

Discussing People To Buy From

Discussing people to buy from, delivery never turned up and problem with refunding me, customer service are awful. Bought on ebay ' THE CHIPPY SHOP 'Told so many stories and wasted so much time 3 separate days waited all day and then they fiddle the refund money - tried to keep my money! reported to Trading Standards and I advise everyone else to report them - unfair trading - false advertising.

Poor After Sales

I ordered 2 worktops and a breakfast bar

When the kitchen fitters had installed them and took off the protective film, the breakfast bar was found to be damaged it had screw holes in it so definitely not damaged in transit or on site

I was offered a £12 discount which I obviously refused

Poor after sales - would not recommend at all

Work Top Express Harlow

Would just like to say anyone who goes to the Harlow work top express on a Sunday be prepared for a waste of journey if you log on to the Harlow opening hours they say there open between 10 till 4 but after an hour and half drive got there and it was closed, on there sign it actually says open Mon till Sat so how about changing this online so to save me and other people time and fuel costs. If I order a work top I think work top express should deliver for free to cover my costs.

Avoid At All Costs

Inaccurate about delivery dates. Promised others dates, items didn't materialise. Cancelled order. Told refunds will take the best part of a month and then they tried to deliver the items!

Shocking, avoid at all costs
