Do Not Use - These Are Unqualified People Who Are
Do NOT use - these are unqualified people who are out to cheat vulnerable people! I have now contacted the FOS.
Elderly parents were told that if they had underfloor insulation they would get a subsidised bolier (part of ECO scheme) - we stated that our flooring was newly done and we did not want any damage, they promised they would do a tidy job. the man they sent admitted he was contracted out and didn't have that much experience in this specific work. he started to pull the floor boards, realised that he had damged the property and ran away!
I called the so called manager and stated that i expect this to be fixed. Sent several emails, called numerous times (only to have a man hang up on me and not call back). Treated with total disprespect and distain.... To this day nothing - my parents have been in a cold room since Jan 2020!!!! Do not use.
i have contacted the FOS and await an investigation.

Shocking installation of UV panels!
I have had the panels installed for around 8 years now. In the last year or so (could be longer but took time to seep through) there has been leaks all over the place, called out various tradesmen who have all said the roof was butchered by the roof panel installers. They took loads of photos for me and i subsequently went online and found out they had completely installed the solar panels wrong. Instead of spending time fitting the brackets correctly they had just drilled straight through the slates and after many years caused many of them to crack,
I subsequently spent about 4 months trying to get them to come out and have a look. Finally someone came out and after many more weeks they claimed as it was over 6 years there was nothing they could do about it.
I am now left with a completely shattered roof and an expensive bill to remove the panels and lose the £8000 i spend on them!
Shocking company.

The Service is so bad it is unbelieveable. In my opinion, do not let NGH anywhere near your property.
Having contacted, NGH with reference to a replacement boiler, due to being disabled, this was done on the government scheme. Whilst in the process of getting the boiler, this was the most efficient the company was, contacting us and keeping us in the loop.
A nice gent came around and did the survey. All relavent docs where produced and all was good. A date was given for the boiler to be fitted and a man turned up to fit the boiler.
And that is as far as the good service From Northern Heating goes.
The boiler was fitted on the Thursday 30 Jan 20. The folliwing morning there was no heating or hot water. The boiler was reading error F1, boiler depressurised. After 3 phone calls to customer service and each time a promise of ringing me back in the next 30 mins, once they have contacted the fitter. No one did call back. In the end i had to go on to the internet and learn how the system was pressurised. Still awaiting a call from NGH with relavent info. The system was repressurused to 1 bar. Thought it was all OK but on Monday morning the heating and water was cold again. Same synario Error F1. The system was presdurised to 1 bar. On several occadions i have contacted customer services to be in a que with 1 before me for several hours. In the end i gave up the system was repressureised on 4 occasions now. Trying to get hold of customer services, You will find it a lot easier to steel gold from the royal mint. I came home on Friday afternoon . To find the bedroom flooded. There is water leaking from the pipes of the new boiler. And the pipe leading to the magnetic filter has come away from the piping. This causing the flood water to be about 1 inch in the bedroom. So have now had to get rid of the carpet in the bedroom and the getting a carpenter in to access the wardrobes. I did manage to contact customer services yesterday, Fri 07 Feb 30. To be met with the response we will wting you back in 30 mins. Still no call. So no heating, no water and no care from NGH. I will give NGH till 6PM monday night. If it is not fixed, then legal proceedings will start.i will call another firm to come abd fix the inadequate work of the fitter and NGH. I will also send them the bills for new carpets, the bill from the caroenter, and also the bill from the surveyor that i will be calling ti check fir ant structural damsge from the flood.
Avoid Northern Gas
Admin/customer service is shockingly bad. I should have realized this when they took so long to arrange fitting. Now that the thermostat has broken down, the 2 year guarantee apparently doesn't cover it - which was never mentioned - and their attitude was shocking. Sorry I ever dealt with them.
Long Long Wait For Repairs
six week for an engineer to come out to repair our central heating. they never reply to your calls just saywe will get back to you.

Avoid this company they charge me for vertical flue 282 pound and they dont needed to install!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im still waiting for the refund of the money from july dont trust this company
Awful, Shabby, Read If Your Thinking Of Using Them
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
If I could score a zero I would! A two day job took them 5 days. The engineers were more interested in getting food than working, They didnt turn up until midday, they stayed until 3am one morning. I was left without heating for three days, there shabby workmanship flooded the house on numerous occasions, I had to repair a couple of water pipes after they left, completely ruined the ceiling with water damage and tried to say it was my fault because I had a duty of care, absolutely deluded! They mis- drilled the hole for the Flue and drilled through my brand new fascia board! They damaged my external wall rendering with their can’t be arsed attitude towards my house, They had zero care for any of my property. They literally ripped apart my bathroom storage to get the boiler in, all the carpet they took up they just placed back down. I was left with £1800 worth of damage, after I made the Aftersales aware they tried and make me sign a satisfaction note before they would do anything! They didn’t activate my extended warranty with Vailant and now I am without that, they even left the water tanks in the loft because they were plastic and took the copper tank with them because it would pay for his fuel to get down here - I hope people actually take time to read these reviews before having northern gas heating fitting your boiler - awful experience, I am in the process of talking to a solicitor to get it all rectified. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I am absolutely amazed because I had to read this to make sure it wasn't my husband who wrote it !!! Our home is still flooding so we turned off the water outside and the kitchen sink for months !!! we have been pouring water from dishes in the toilet!!! The loft almost feel on our son !! it had been leaking for months and we didn't know. The day the boiler was fitted it was licking. I cant quantify our lost . Even my daughter fell due to the leak and banged her head so bad. So annoying , bad, bad experience...
One Bad Thing After Another
Absolutely horrendous. Let down after let down. Waiting around for hours and nobody turning up. Huge delay in finishing work. Broken promises. Water leaking from new boiler and no sense of urgency to fix it. Workers didn't leave me the correct paperwork. Was promised a full run down on how to operate the system through the app, but the workers has NO idea at all how to do this. Taken days off work to wait for workers who just didn't bother to show up. Completely regret ever using this company. Awful communication. 6 weeks from boiler being fitted and still having problems, thermostats still not replaced as agreed.
Nightmare
Originally promised to install new boiler before Christmas, sales pressure 'you need to confirm the deal today for this quote'.
The date slipped to January, at first offers a small discount for this but that was later denied.
Got a text the Friday before the Monday installation saying they were cancelling and couldn't give us another date. When I phoned them they promised to refund our deposit if we did not wish to go ahead. I cancelled on the phone as by this stage our old boiler had stopped working and we were cold. The following week they quote a wait of two weeks but confirmed on the phone that our £500 deposit would not be taken.
We arranged another installation then they started to say they were going to take our deposit as we did not give them two week's notice of cancellation! They kept insisting we had breached their contract, which would not stand up in law anyway as the terms are not reasonable. We asked our bank not to process the credit card transaction.

If they tell me my boiler is being serviced but then tick the no box on the contract that I signed does the verbal contract stand?
Is this company good? Applied for help with a new boiler as mine is old and I am in receipt of pension credit. They surveyed the property told me that I am eligible for help and have told me that I have to contribute £320 which is a lot for me. I signed the contract but was not able to pay at the time as I would have to get the money together thinking that you pay after the work is done. Have read some of the feedback and worrying now if it will be a waste of money.
Please be very wary I was let down by this company 3 times. I took three days off work and agreed dates to do the work they never turned up on three separate occasions. When you ring up to complain they blatenly lie… I foolishly paid upfront and in the end I demanded that my contract be cancelled because I could not afford to to take anymore time off or I would loose my job. They still have not refunded my money. This scheme is meant to help the vulnerable, the low paid, elderly and disabled this company has made my own situation worse with 3 children and no heating or hot water. I will be complaining to my local MP because it is a government funded scheme. By all means use the scheme just make sure it is not installed by this company.
