It is solidly made and looks nice, but, although expensive, some features of Utopia's bathroom furniture suggest that it is intended to cut the sale price or the manufacturing costs, or both. We bought some as part of a complete renovation of our en-suite bathroom by a large and reputable local bathroom installer. One cupboard - a metre tall - came with only 2 shelves as standard, and wasn't even drilled to permit any flexibility in installing additional shelves (which can be ordered, at additional cost). An under-sink cupboard had shelves that were fixed, and could not be adjusted - so that it was not possible to store the typical bottle of toilet cleaner that you might expect to be able to keep in the bathroom.

We spoke to Consumer Direct who advised us in our dealings with the company. When we did not receive any response from the letters sent, Consumer Direct passed our case to Trading Standards who is currently investigating this matter.

I spoke to somebody who had used them and they suffered the same problem. Even worse, their bathroom has been leaking ever since they fixed it. It's a nightmare to say the least. They tried to contact them again and again but were just ignored by them.
