Hudson Reed Head23

This is a 300mm diameter shower head. Very impressive looking, however beware this has hidden dangers.

After being in use for a few years, the whole fitting came apart in two halves and the bottom half smashed to the floor. Its lucky I wasn't in the shower, as I estimate the weight was about 5kg full of water, and with all the spikes could have caused a nasty injury.

Looking at the insides, the whole thing is held together with a single flimsy 6mm diameter steel threaded bolt in the centre, which had obviously rusted through over time.

This has been replaced already by the manufacturer. The first one burst its seam at the sides p***ing water everywhere.

This product retails at £200 - so for the price its very poor quality.

Also, the Hudson Reed valves I installed at the same time are starting to fail and drip. Not confident in this brand any more.

Customer services would not help, as I had lost the receipt.
