Service A Joke

Have a Mira Shower which had an intermittent fault, Engineer came out pulled the casing off the wall and broke the screw, said the casing was cracked (how surprising after breaking the screw) and wouldn't touch it. Still charged the £76.00 call out fee. Another qualified person came from another Company, no spare parts required fixed within 5 minutes, working OK since. This person didn't charge me as he was disgusted with the way this Company had treated me.

I wouldn't recommend their Service or have another Mira Shower, the Call Out Fee is a very lucrative business for them

Disappointing Longevity For A High Priced Shower

We have just replaced a Mira shower. The shower lasted 5 years but cost nearly £400. I found the customer relations department hard to contact and unhelpful. I regard this a lot of money to pay for a shower which, according to Mira, is about all you can expect in terms of longevity for their product. If they have such little faith, then why should a customer? Or am I expecting too much?

Costly And Unreliable.

I bought the Mira Sport max with airboost 2 years ago. The airboost function is noisey and ineffective. It cost me £319. In 2 years it has had 1. A heater. 2. A flow control valve and 3. 2 x solenoids.

My previous Mira sport lasted 6 years before it packed up. This thing is terribly unreliable and Mira are not interested in honouring warranties. It's a total joke of a shower and I will never buy from Mira again.

Breaks Down And Mira Do Not Honour Warranty.

My Mira shower stopped working two winters running, within 18 months of purchase. Parts took 6 weeks to replace. I was charged for the callout (under warranty) - the technician said it required a plumber and was inaccessible, but I took the cover off with a screwdriver bit and a spanner. Please, please don't waste your time and money on this company.

Mira Customer Service, What A Absolute Joke!

I had the Mira Sport 10.8kw for 2 weeks when the water stopped heating. I rang Mira & they sent an engineer to look at it. PLEASE BE AWARE - if Mira do not like the way that the shower unit has been installed, they will void the guarantee. The engineer advised that the shower had not been installed properly because my plumber had put silicone around the unit to prevent water going down the back of it, so it looks like they are looking for any excuse not to honour the guarantee. They refused to fix the shower even though the silicone had nothing to do with the reported fault. I have evidence of this and I am absolutely disgusted with the service I received from MIRA. I will never buy another Mira product & would warn anybody else who is thinking of purchasing one. **BEWARE**

They Actually Phoned Me Back, I Was Stunned!

I had a Mira shower installed by an idiot. They managed to leave out the plastic blanking plate that covers where the hose would come out of the top of the shower body (mine has the hose coming out of the bottom instead).

I wasn't happy at all but didn't want the idiot to come back and get another chance to mess it up even more. I emailed Mira's customer service dept and gave details of the missing piece and a jpeg of the shower body and it's hole.

They not only 'phoned me the very next day to ask me what the model number was but then sent out the missing part free of charge and by first class post. I'm not used to such rapid service from large companies and that's what's prompted me to write this review.

Nice one Mira!

Mira Sport 10.8kw Shower

Had this shower installed when I had my bathroom replaced 4 years ago, went with a Mira as everyone said they are the best. How wrong can they be. I have had to replace the thermostat about every year, they are relatively cheap to purchase from a plumbing centre but then its the electrician charge to fit it. We have now had the third one installed and it has lasted 3 weeks so now we have decided to have to get a replacement. Not the great purchase that I had expected.
