A Load Of Scrap

Not even sure where the bed came from. My neighbour was throwing it away, I needed some wood to put a floor in my shed extension. It was one of those beds that you lift the whole thing up to get underneath for storage.

Took the covering off the head board. At least 2000 staples holding it on, the underneath was the most shocking, the fist layer was 20mm chipboard, with two layer of chipboard around the edge. All held together with more and more staples.

A really poor quality item, just shows what they can cover up with a bit of material.

The only wood on the bed was 4 pieces a about 100mm long that held the headboards in place. The slats are nothing better than plywood, thought they where hardwood, they made a good job of disguising them. They have been outside for a couple of months and all the layers of ply are coming apart.

No matter what you pay it is hard to find any quality these days, unless you find a good hand made item. But that costs the earth.

Warning - Poor Quality Beds - Stay Away

Exceptionally poor quality beds - low quality components. Purchased a FURMANAC bed about 4 years ago and in that time have had to replace 6 motors, 3 lifting bars that bend and "memory" foam mattresses seemingly forgot to revert to original shape seeing us having to replace after only 2 years. Motors are encased in a plastic body which clip to bars that in turn elevate the bed frame. The body is made from exceptionally poor quality plastic that continually break. Customer service is non existent and I was told to go back to where I purchased the bed from only to discover that the bed shop were ripping me off by charging double the FURMANAC price of the motors. Furmanac engineers have recently been out to try and repair the bed only to find other issues with the bed and they now simply don't want to assist in rectifying an issue that has been there since day 1.

I urge anyone considering purchasing an adjustable bed, mobility chair to do your homework – read the reviews and think very hard before parting with any money for anything manufactured by FURMANAC who also sell under the following brands: Hestia / MiBed / Hestia Motion / MiChair / Hestia Upholstered Bed Frames.

Check out other review sites - very similar opinions being voiced by many disgruntled customers.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I fully agree with this appraisal of the electric bed I purchased most uncomfortable bed in the world. Purchased from Bensons for Beds who longer seems to stock them bend like a banana look for a bed that electrical positions move from three points. Stay away from this bed.

Dfs Supplier Avoid

This is without a doubt the worst and most disorganised company I have ever had to deal with. They supply a majority of the furniture for DFS. I have been waiting for a coffee table since August this year it is now the end if November. Having had several delivery dates and taking days of work to be available, we still do not have the table we have paid for. We had been told it would be in our possession every Saturday this month. Poor poor customer service.

Furmanac Electric Adjustable Bed Supplied By Ebedz.co.uk

We wanted an electric adjustable bed for a seriously ill relative but didn't want a nursing home or hospital type bed. We found a unique bed a 'cast iron and brass bedstead' that housed a full facility electric bed. A full medical (vat excempt) bed that actually looked attractive.

We spoke to the manufacturers who answered all our questions they even offered to supply different mattresses (we wanted soft memory foam with a Coolmax cover)and still guarantee the whole installation.

As they don't supply direct I asked for a list of suppliers. We contacted several but ebeds were by far the cheapest (we looked at them early when researching beds and they were so cheap we assumed their was something fishy about them) and suprisingly they were also the most friendly and helpful. The bed was ordered after a quick confirmation call to the manufacturers and delivered and installed in 7 days.

We are amazed at the service , quality of bed,(we chose the Mi Bed Irene), efficiency of delivery and installation and most of all the value for money. The bed is also British made, who says we don't make quality products anymore.
