Ikea Sultan Hamno

I have the same problem, half of my mattress is simply collapsed (by the way the bed itself is IKEA too)

I had the same letter, called back and said "I'd like to appeal against your decision because the problem with the mattress is very obvious" They said I have to find a mattress engineer (whatever that means) and get a report against their report.

I asked: where can I find them? Answer "Honestly I don't know"

I asked: What is your criteria for this report, could I get it from any mattress shop? Answer "Whoever provides such report" but he doesn't know what is the criteria for this report.

Basically they ask me to find a mattress specialist (they don't know where those engineers found), pay them, produce a report and get back to IKEA.

You may think: ever mattress may have slight bumps and dents. Mine is simply "Collapsed!" (same as my study desk and shelves)

Anyhow I will find this bed engineers and make them pay for their cheap mattress

We've had this mattress form over 7 years now and we still love it. It was a fantastic price and we are delighted that it has lasted us longer than the last mattress we bought that cost an arm and a leg.

My husband is a pretty hefty guy and he lives Tha fact that it does support his weight and for me it has just the perfect feel where it isn't too soft not too hard.

The other thing I really like about it are the handles on the side that make moving the mattress a breeze. Not cheap plastic handles that you often see on other mattresses.

We bought the IKEA Sultan Hamno queen size bed used and we both love sleeping on it. We have it on a plate form bedframe with slates from IKEA. After reading the other reviews I was very surprised how good this mattress really is. I'd suggest getting a mattress if you like a somewhat firm mattress, or get one for your kids or guest room - great buy!

Bought this mattress and a bed frame when I moved house. 5 years ago. I anticipated replacing in 10 years as mostly recommended and I am the only one sleeping on it.... I had to buy a foam topper to put on it as it was too firm but I did not mind that.....BUT it is now very unfomfortable and sags badly in the middle. I really thought it would last a lot longer. I am now going back to buying a divan with a pocket sprung mattress with a memory fowm layer at the top. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

This mattress is excellent, really comfortable. I would say it is a firm mattress but is moulds to your body. We have had ours for 6 years and it is still as good as it was the day we brought it home! My only negative is simply that it is hard to get fitted sheets to fit it comfortably as it is so deep.

I can't understand the bad reviews for this mattress. It is the best spent money I have had in years. I used to get pains all over my body and not sleep well but since buying it several years ago its like having a new life. It is so compy I keep waking up with my children all piled in bed with me as they love it too. All I can think is that others have not bought the right mattress for the way they sleep as not everyone suits a firm mattress. I spent a lot of time researching and finding the right one for me and this one is defintly it.

BOUGHT 2 DOUBLE BEDS FOR MY SONS A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO. COMPLETE BEDS (MATTRESS/BOXSPRINGS) THEY ARE NOW BEING TRASHED. WORST EVER!!! SAGS IN MIDDLE. POOR WORKMANSHIP AND IKEA CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NO EXISTENT!!!! I FEEL SO INCREDIBLY RIPPED OFF. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE. BUY ANY OTHER BRAND... SERIOUSLY NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

IN FAIRNESS I WILL SAY IKEA DOES HAVE SOME GOOD PRODUCTS.. THEIR BED LINES ARE NOT THOSE HOWEVER.

I have had this mattress over 5 years; literally the most comfortable mattress I've ever had. I flip it every few months. No sagging problems. I am average weight, my boyfriend is 300 lbs+, handles the weight just fine. Not sure why everyone else has such big problems with this mattress.

Worst matress ever purchased, too hard, dips in the middle and the worst nights sleep ever. Have used matress for 12 months, thinking it just needed to be "worn in" and also it was the first firm matress we had purchased so we initially thought the problem was us not the product. Have now bought another matress and will not be stupid enough to believe the literature and the 'supposed' sleep expertise.

Worst mattress ever, sagging badly after 3 years and we had to replace. We've hated it for a year now and were convinced since new that one side was higher than the other! we always felt like we were sleeping on a slope! Mis-shaped and mattress seems to bulge in places around the walls of it. NOT GOOD! we are calling Ikea tomorrow... 25 year guarantee, we will see.
