Purchased a Nourison (Somerset) rug earlier in October from Wilsonville store.

Salesman was wonderful....gracious, knowledgeable, patient. There were a few minor issues that needed taking care of. General manager was very agreeable, as was salesman, an issues were resolved to my satisfaction.

The store is beautiful, stock is splendid. Wish there was a store closer to me as this was nearly a 2 hr drive from my home.

The distance is a bit off-putting so checking out websites for products is a must. However, the professional attention I received, the courtesy of the salesman couldn't have been better.

I should have done my "homework" (shopping around) before my purchase, but a price adjustment was made that was most agreeable.

I love the selection of NW RUGS and their website they know what they are doing and they have the best customer service. I purchased a rug (very difficult to find) and they gave me the best tips on designing my room. I would definitely recommend nw rugs to all my family and friends.

We were looking for 2 rugs for our house, we were not able find any decent store then we came across NWrugs.com we were interested in some rugs they had to offer online and called the store near us. A very polite gentleman answered the phone and invited us to see the rugs in the store. We visited the store and were impressed by their selection. Writing to tell you about my experience with NW Rugs.

On 01/22/2010 I purchased a 10ft round rug from your Tansbourne Store in Oregon. Very excited to get this rug. Our salesperson was very helpful and we were told the rug would arrive in two-three weeks. The rug showed up as promised in the time we were told.

The rug arrived in a 3x3 x12 box. Folded and crammed in this box. Not rolled up in plastic...

I was so upset to see this beautiful rug folded up like a bed sheet with no respect to us as the buyer for our rug.

I called the store (2/3/10) and talked to a sales person letting him know how upset I was and how ugly the rug looked with the creases and folds. He told me ALL rugs are shipped that way because UPS will not except anything over 8ft. I know this to be a lie as I had just bought two other rugs (for different rooms, from differnt companys) and both of them were 12ft., delivered from UPS, rolled in plastic. And they were sitting right there at my feet still in their plastic, delivered from UPS.

He told me to just roll it up and let it set a few days. I did this. Rug still has the folds and creases.

Called again (2/5/10) and told them I was not going to except this rug this way, that I would like to get another rug to replace this one. I live over 150 miles away from your store. I said I will drive to pick this one up... do not ship. I was was told they didn't know if they would take it back. He would talk it over with his manager and get back to me. Still waiting...

Do Not trust what they tell you about bringing it back or any type of service once the rug is paid for!!

Purchased from NW Rugs on Sunday, brought it back on Monday as it was too large for the space.

I was told that there is a no refund policy. This was not conveyed at time of purchase. They said that I could not return a rug as their insurance policy would not cover it in case of damage and what not.

They will however swap it out for something else. Not a happy camper.

I have recommended NW Rugs to friends, and I continue to shop there when I have furniture, rug, lighting, and accessory needs.

They have stores in: L.A., Las Vegas, and Portland , Oregon metro area. 5/12/04: Purchased a rug from NW Rugs. The size I wanted was not in stock so it was ordered. I asked the salesperson if I could return the rug if the colors were not right. She said yes. I asked about delivery time and she said that another store might have it in stock and that it would be sent over right away. Otherwise it would be 2-4 weeks. That VERY LEADING statement is indicative of an in-stock item.

5/14/04: I called to cancel the rug as I found another one. Salesperson said I could not cancel it and she would not refund my money. At that point she told me that the special order could not be cancelled. I was NEVER NEVER told that. I was told I could return it. Salesperson said she would only give me store credit. I do not want store credit. I want my charge reversed. I do not have the rug. They refuse. Another salesman at NW Rugs Wilsonville, Oregon was very rude and he said policy is policy and he said I was rude. The manager was to call me back and he never called. A woman at NW Rugs corporate was to call me back and she never called.

I do not have the rug. I have refused delivery of the rug. The rug is not in my possession nor has it ever been. I refuse to pay for this rug.

I called UPS and indicated that delivery of the rug was refused by me. I called MC and asked how to dispute this charge. They told me to put all this in writing and when the bill came, to dispute the charge.

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Washington and Oregon.
