Always Ends The Same Way - Powermop Stops Spraying

I bought on line the flash powermop after returning 3 previous mops - as after a few weeks in most cases the mop stopped spraying - I did all the obvious things like changing the batteries etc. but to no avail so I took said mop back to the shop and got my money back. But because I liked the cleaning power of mop when it decided to work - I decided to get it on line. It worked for months but unfortunately the same outcome. After discussion with my husband who is an engineer we came to the same conclusion - incredibly poor design - water floods the motor. Please do not waste your money buying this mop.

1 Star Is Generous

This is my second mop now and same issue. Pump stopped working. Took it apart to find the plastic housing that secures the pump in place has crumbled to bits. Terrible quality. The liquid is expensive. Pads srop sticking after 1 use from new. If yours stops working just give it a shake and if you can hear rattling sounds this is the issue. Seems to be very common. Waste of money.

Had 2, Both Broke Within Months

Despite having looked after these, cleaned them and taken one apart to try and repair it, these break as soon as you look at them. Terrible waste of time and money. DO NOT BUY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Total Waste Money

This is the second one I have purchased, thought the first I was just unlucky with, 2nd one was the same, lasted approximately 2/3 months. Won’t spray at all Obviously very bad quality

Very disappointed as they are not cheap ????

Coat me in the region of £40 for both

Don’t Bother!!

The sticky pads it comes with are useless they don’t stick to the mop so therefore makes the mop useless waste of money!! Would not recommend

Died After 1 Month

I have had a Flash Power Mop for just 1 month. At first I was very pleased with it. But I soon found that the 4 AA batteries needed replacing very quickly and the bottles of fluid are very expensive too. But then, after only 1 month, it died! No matter what new batteries I put in it, or how many times I re-inserted the fluid bottle, it just wont 'squirt' any m ore :(. My son had bought this as a birthday present for me I haves no receipt to return it. So, I have reverted back to using an empty surface cleaner spray bottle, which I squirt in front of the mop. And when I have used all the pads, I will pull a fluffy sock over the mop head - which can be washed in the washing machine and re-used. So much cheaper overall and I can make my own fluid mixes up e.g. diluted flash for tiles and lino, and special laminate floor mix for my laminate floors. Having to squirt by hand is not a great chore and I am saving a fortune!

Stops Working

I have bought the new Powermop to replace one I had for a few years. It stopped working after half a dozen uses. I was not impressed with its performance, it was not as good as the old model. When it stopped working I contacted the manufacturer who gave me a refund to buy another, which I did, with the same poor result. I am now hoping for another refund, I will choose a different product next time.

Have a real problem with the floor becoming very slippery after using the power mop for about a year. What can be the cause and the solution?

les.sonnex

Are the strips on the cleaning pads to be removed prior to fitting the pads to the mop?

johnrross

No - they help the pad adhere to the mop head. hope this helps.
