Doesn't Work

I bought this to specifically target quite a small patch of limescale in my loo.

I've applied it 3 times, left it for a few hours, brushed it furiously and it doesn't work.

Made absolutely no difference.

Save your money.

Absolute Waste Of Money!

10 X better than bleach!!!!!

It's coloured water and has zero affect on stains!

Don't waste your money, I'm gobsmacked they get away with conning people.

Whilst This Stuff May Be Effective Against Limesca

Whilst this stuff may be effective against limescale ,what marks a toilet the most ? Excretia , of course ,Harpic does no touch it ,even overnight ,where as good old household Bleach will eradicate it in two hours sometimes. Bleach retails at about 1£ a bottle ,plus you cna buy bleach with added limescale remover ,far better. Harpic and Toilet duck are a ridiculous scam in my opinion . Don't take my word for it , everybody's toilet gets marked with poop , do the test comparison for yourself .

Slippery

The product works fine but the bottle is very slippery with wet hands. I have cut off the plastic sleeve which rather negates their advertising. If you drop a bottle of bleach we all know the consequences! Do they not test these things with wet hands, which we have a lot of the time when we are cleaning. I had gloves on but they were wet too.

Harpic Power Plus & Bleach

This morning i cleaned the bathroom like normal. Squirted the toilet cleaner in the toilet bowel. Not thinking poured bleach over the seat. usually i do not at same time but was rushing. Then i got overwhelmed by fumes. Auto reaction is you take a breath. I took a breath of poisonous gas. Realising what i done. i flung the window open and flushed the Toilet. My chest has been tight since. However was tight for two days before. I just wanted to make people aware. Im 46 and was unaware this could happen> Please read the bottles and think before you use two chemicals together.

On own great for keeping the limescale at bay. Never have limescale in my toilet

Errods If In Contact With Toilet Seat

I used Harpic the other day and failed to notice that it had dripped onto my toilet seat.During the night it had burnt and eroded thet toilet seat.

Now i am aware it is corrosive but it IS a toilet cleaner and it shouln be stated that if in contact with the seat then wipe immediately. Now i have to buy a new seat.

Same here phoned customer services rude and tried to make out I was stupid for not lifting the seat up before squirting the harpic down the toilet need a new toilet seat now well annoed

I live in Brazil where Harpic is widely used; however, while using it dropped into my toilet bowe, and could not be removed, causing the bowe to have to be removed and changed for a new one. In my vacation home in Nova Friburgo I was lucky to pick it up before it went down further. We enjoy the smell of Harpic but do not intend to use it again.

pEPP

right, i used it on cement tiles and it has left an ugly design on the floor

I can completely agree with your comments. It has just done exactly the same to my toilet seat which cost me £30 and is only about a year old. The company that make it say you dont put it on toilet seats - as far as I am conerned when you are working in such close proximity with a toilet seat then it shoud not do this. I will never buy this product again!!
