Is it ok to have my carpet laid before Neville Johnson polisher/sprayer comes to finish job?

Can anyone advise what they were charged for a staircase and also a fitted bedroom? I want to know roughly what to expect before the designer comes out and quotes me.
I am considering placing an order for a Neville Johnson staircase. On their quote, they are requesting a 35% deposit with the order, 45% at survey and 20% balance on completion. Is this normal? Usually, I would expect to pay a deposit and balance on completion.

Hi, I had a staircase installed beginning of 2014 and all you are requested to pay us a 35% deposit with the final payment on completion. You do have the option to defer the final payment for 12 months if finances are ever an issue. Hope that helps.
