Done Some Research, Not Too Happy
I thought Burns was a quality dog food and didn't do due diligence in checking the ingredients.69 percent rice for a carnivore is not a good ratio for good nutrition. I have changed to a 70/30 quality dog food which is basically the same price.
Soft Stools And Frequently Pooing
Have been feeding my 9 month old cocker burns fish and brown rice not happy with it at all now. But it's driving me mad which other brand of dry food to feed ! My other cocker has been ill with Pancras/and hyperliperdiama so she had to come off burns and on a special royal canin food for her condition, although her health problem was not caused by burns it is not the right food to feed her with her health problems. My Dachshunds have been on the burns small bites and have been for some time they are fine on it.

High Grain Low Meat
How many wild carnivores do you see eating grain crops? Burns is 60 - 70% grain which offers little benefit to your dog. I feed my Boston Terriers Orijen, high meat content, high quality ingredients, they need less and I supplement with suitable fruit and veg occasionally NO GRAIN (especially corn, which has no digestible benefit to a dog). Such grains are just used as fillers. I would recommend you research your pets needs before selecting a suitable food.

hi I have a Japanese Akita.
when she was a puppy, but she was not progressing in growth, so i did a Google search and found this great Burns. so I put her on the Adult senior
she is doing great. and looks fab and dosnt loose weight she is nice and chunky with a lovely shiny coat and bright clear eyes.
as the james contains suger beat which made her too hyper. now she is a happy balanced dog she has been on Burns for two years now and I wouldnt go for any
thing else. also the pouches farm land is very good, I am going to try the Burns mixer with the Burns wet food pouches for a change.as I have tried
other brands , all contain some sort of yeast,Burns is a great Hypoallergenic Holistic pet food and is very good for dogs with sensitive systems
and since she has been on the Burns no problem what so ever.
it seems OK for a short while then after two weeks my dog was scratching
so I new what it was so took her off them all.
and I only give my best friend the very Best. ant that is all of the

Burns Penlan Range Moist Dog Food
This food has been an absolute life saver for our elderly Jack Russell who suffers from pancreatitis. We have struggled to find a low fat food which does not upset her digestive system and produces normal solid poo and we were so pleased to find this really works. It is good quality food and, whilst quite expensive, worth every penny to us. Would recommend it to anyone whose dog has digestive problems. Thank you Burns.

The Best!!!
I feed my 9 year old weimeraner with the hypo allergenic mixer and naturediet. She loves these biscuits and this is the best food you can give to your dog. Bit pricey, but then again, you only get what you pay for.

Great Dog Food
I have fed my Shih Tzu Burns Lamb and Brown Rice pouches since she was a pup she is now 1 and has a great coat and is very healthy, only problem its a bit expensive but she very is healthy.
We use lamb and brown rice dog food but she has an allergy to flea saliva which causes severe itching mainly around base of tail and all four feet.
Are we using the most appropriate food for her or do you recommend a better one?

Burns High Oats Dry Dog Food
My border collie started suffering with constipation and diarrhoea when she was 3. Having tried every single thing I could think of I went to the vets because she was becoming so thin. After nearly £1,500 worth of surgery, biopsies and head scratching I was informed that they didn't actually know what was wrong with her other than 'yes, she does seem to have some sort of stomach agrivating aliment'. I was loaded down with drugs for her and told to feed her the Hills science diet. Disaster. My poor dog grew thinner and more sickly until at last I knew I had to fix her or have her suffering ended. I tried all the Burns foods and still not what I was looking for, in the end I threw my hands up in the air , stopped all her medication and opted for the Burns high oats . With some trepidation as to the wording on the package telling me it was for overweight dogs I just kept thinking that the extra fibre might help. Within 4 days of being off the meds and on the high oats my dog started to rapidly improve. She is now 10 and still on the high oats, her weight is spot on and her tummy troubles are resolved ( unless someone sneaks her a treat she shouldn't have) I am eternally grateful to Burns for saving my dog, I truly believe she would not be here today if I hadn't discovered this food. The Burns helpline is very helpful also for advise and the food actually works out cheaper than most tinned brands! Thank you Mr Burns
Thank you for your story. I have been going down the same root. I have started to put the fish and rice kibble in her prescription food to slowly take off vet food. If this doesn't work she has to have camera and biopsies done. My last dog was on burns and it stopped colitis, fingers crossed my new dog will get better on burns food. Fingers crossed.

Q&A
Could you tell me if this food is made of natural ingredients please and how much a 10.25kg puppy needs on a daily basis?
