Irresponsible Marketing; Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover...

Has anyone ever tried to trace Frolic on the internet? I have, as I suspect it causes chronic allergy on some dogs. Does anyone know the exact ingredients and amounts? I don't. And I tried! Does anyone know who the manufactures are? Well, apparently it's a company named Mars (petcare) in the UK... Has anyone visited their site? I have. Not a single mention to Frolic. Yet they do Whiskas and Cesar! HOW WEIRD IS THAT?????? Come on dog lovers, can I see some reaction, please? Yes dogs do love it and I am sure it brings huge profits to the company, but hey, isn't it very strange that such a popular product can't be traced???? Hope my dogs recover from years of skin allergy now that I have banned Frolic from their lives!

I have just looked on the internet and found lots of information including a complete breakdown of what's in it and itemised by protein, fat etc. It was no problem at all. I just typed Frolic complete into Google.

I must admit I don't use it for their main meals, just as treats because I can't find a stockist in my area so just buy small packs online.

If Your Dog Reacted With Vomiting And Stomach Ache

If your dog reacted with vomiting and stomach ache, he / she is probably reacting to the flour in Frolic...

My dog loves Frolic but it's not a full feed, you should not give only Frolic, Frolic works best as candy.

I rate Frolic high but ONLY as candy for the dog, not as food.

We Gave My Jack Russell A Handful Of This Food Bro

We gave my Jack Russell a handful of this food broken up into a treat ball. He loved it but in the early hours of the following morning he started being very sick. We didn't associate the dog food until we gave him some more a couple of weeks later. This time along with bringing up blood as he was vomiting so much and he also had bloody diarrhoea, it was extremely distressing for the dog and us. We threw the dog food away but it worried me that my dog, who can eat anything, was so violently ill on such a small portion of this stuff, makes you wonder what is in it.

My two dogs love it. They do not need any further food, just need separating when they fall out over how many they have.

I've Been Feeding My 11 Yr Old King Charles Cavali

I've been feeding my 11 yr old king charles cavalier on Frolic Complete with an equal amount of chum mixer since he was a puppy. We have always had a bit of a game rolling frollics along the floor for him to chase after.Although he is not a greedy eater,he seems to enjoy the meal rather than devour it within minutes. He is very fit and has a lovely shiny coat, clean teeth and also it is an extremely easy job to clear up his firm pooh(just thought I'd mention it as it's very important)god knows what some owners feed there dogs. Why not give your pet something he likes rather than that awfull tinned yuk.

I agree, My Bichon Frise loves frolics and wont eat any other dried food. I feed him can of applaws chicken and 6/8 frolics at dinner time. He is healthy, beautiful coat and energetic. I do tend to worry tho when you read some of the bad reviews. I've tried every dried food and he wont even look at it.

I found this review very helpful because I have 2 Lhasa Apso's, they both love Frolic complete.

They even fall out over the frolics, but they are both growing up, one is two years, and the other is 18month old.

Well, I Have An 11 Year Old Boxer. Normally Dogs W

Well, I have an 11 year old boxer. Normally dogs would tire down now, but she hasn't, she is still very energetic.

Now about this product, it gives her loads of energy, she is thrilled with it and is the only food she will eat.

We gave it to her 4 years ago. A year later we went to the vet, because she stared throwing up when we fed her other foods. Now I am not talking about fast food, only specially prepared meat and so on. She was almost put down. The doctor said that the only possible thing to do is exclusively give her Frolic. This last year she has had organs problems etc. I am taking her today to the vet, we expect she might have cancer. We have gotten a lot of opinions and they all say "change the food, it's only meant as a treat."

At least the food has so much sugar in it that she has energy and "seems" to be fine. Find something else now.

I found this review very helpful because I have a 3 yr old rescue Llasho Apso and he will not eat any other dried food. Pet shops etc say only use it as a treat which is probably why it is hard to obtain. After your review I will definitely wean him off it.

I Use Frolic Complete Dog Food As A Training Aid (

I use Frolic Complete Dog Food as a training aid (breaking each ring into four and feeding each small piece at a time.) because my dog loves them so while we're training, whether its obedience, ring training or gun training (he's a cocker spaniel so we take him to gundog classes as well as showing and obedience training him) i know he'll do what i tell him every time just because he knows he'll get a piece of frolic if he gets it right. i would never even dream of using frolic as his main though.

Q&A

My cocker spaniel was a very fussy eater but I have just over the past couple of weeks introduced him onto Frolic. We also put fresh chicken onto the biscuits and he now wolfs the food down and indeed looks for more. I have checked the internet and some reports say that the food is brilliant whilst others say it has really upset their dogs stomach.

My dog is completely fine with the food so in your opinion is it ok to carry on with Frolic or should I look somewhere else for an alternative?
