Dreadful Owner
DO NOT leave your dog with this company. The owner is rude, offensive and an arrogant bully. Thinks he knows it all even though he shouts and screams at dogs, hates them barking (even though he runs a doggy daycare centre!!!) and clearly does not care about dogs, his staff or customers.

The Best Day Care Centre For My Dog
i have lived in quite a few places around england and have to put my dog into daycare due to work commitments. Pawpounders is by far the best that i have used. The staff are very helpful and keep me upto date with his time there. The set up is amazing and you can see the dogs are so well looked after. I cannot reccomend pawpounders enough. thanks
Judge Dogs By The Breed Not The Dog
A professionally run doggie day centre should be able to assess dogs individually as to the nature and behaviour of the dog and not judge dogs by the breed alone. Not allowing dogs purely on breed shows poor understanding of dogs and therefore a lack of skills to manage dogs.
well as many clients dont want dangerous dog breeds here and our insurance company wont insure us is it any wonder why i wont allow certain dogs. have you not seen the xl bully situation, well we cant take them for insurance reasons then people started saying they were cross breeds to get round it. sorry but its not my problem its the owners
In responce to your comments I thought I had better explain the situation as unfortunately your are wrong. If I give you an example then maybe it will help you understand. imagine mike tyson your husband and myself all chatting and and then an argument started and your husband punched Mike tyson. It is unlikely that it would have done much but then mike tyson in defence throws a jab at your husband. It would probably break his jaw and knock him out. So if certain breeds lose their temper and bite another dog the injuries are usually quite severe. Some dogs can create 1 and a half tons pressure per square inch(the equivalent of a large estate car sitting on your little finger) Also most insurance companies are not willing to insure Day Care Centres without some sort of control over dangerous breeds. Hopefully this will explain the situation so you understand. Nick Parkinson Owner of Pawpounders

My Huge Mistake
I took my 12 month old to paw pounders thinking I was doing my best to socialise hm with other dogs. Wel after several half day visits I am experiencing a very difficult time with him. When I take him for a walk he is scared of other dogs and growling and barking at all of them. I don't know what went on there but I will never take him again and after reading the previous review I was obvisiously right to make that decision. I don't know how I can get him back to normal, if anyone has any suggestions I would be most grateful. The poor thing is terrified also reacting to some people! What a disaster I feel terrible leaving him there.
total rubbish and you can not even spell so probably a made up review
I have just seen this and as the owner of pawpounders quite surprised as we have literally hundreds of happy clients, we have been awarded 5 stars BY DEFRA and Lichfield council and recently awarded the contract for Dogs in Hospitals where a team of us assess the dogs prior to going into end of life and debenture wards.
If you are unhappy then please call and speak to us as this I am sure can be solved. We stick to a very soft approach to meeting other dogs and often start with an older passive dogs so no confrontation.
If you would like to contact us and let us resolve the issue at no charge to yourself.

What a load of rubbish we have hundreds of clients who have brought in nervous dogs and they have settled in fine all but a bit longer than more confident dogs. I can give you over 100 references from nervous dogs, deaf dogs, retired greyhounds, aggressive dogs and dogs where their background is unknown so I can only imagine you are making this up and if not why didn't you let us know we have several ways of easing a dog through the socialising it needs as like us they all have their own personalities. If you are the person who I have been told you are then i suggest you stop carrying the dog like a little baby and let it walk on its own 4 legs. Nick Parkinson Owner
I had the same problem with my dogs after taking them there. I use a hotly it helps me control them a bit more as when growl at other dogs I pull back on the lid slightly which the hotly moves their face towards me. And the I talk to the calmly. It don't hurt them i got my from pets at home. Works lovely. You could also talk to them when see the other dog, just to keep the dog clam e.g. good boy. I do it helps

Dangerous Place Do Not Use This Daycare!
This is an awful place for dogs, I have seen them using electric collars on people's pets, without knowledge and the owner kicking and scruffing dogs, the rspca were called but said there was not enough evidence. I would never ever recommend this place and frankly I feel it should be shut down and the owner prosecuted. They also used starter pistols to split up fights, which is obviously not a recommended method !
I have never used electric collars so you are lying and is it any wonder why we are given a 5 star rating
That is so totally untrue so this can only be an ex employee making such libel comments, WE DO NOT OR EVER HAVE USED STARTER PISTOLS OR ELECTRIC COLLARS.
We are inspected several times a year without notice by the council and have for several years now got a 5 Star grade (the highest) actually the only one in our county. We also get on very well with DEFRA and the RSPCA so know you are making this all up. any more libel comments and we will take legal action.
Your probably one of the lazy staff members who said you were good with dogs and in actual fact did nothing but laze around so I sacked you seems more true.
That is absolute dribble and I will take you to court if I can find out who you are for slander as its total nonsense. I would imagine your one of the lazy people who I sacked and now think its a way of getting me back, get a life, work harder and you will go far.
I agree don't use this place, it's horrible. Your dog is better off at home.

Best Dog Daycare By Miles!!
I have only recently started using Pawpounders and I must say the service is fanstastic! Having used another daycare centre in the area i was first worried that the experience would be the same but u cannot say how wrong I was! The staff are so knowledgeable and happy to help something the other daycare centre definately lacks as there staff are very young. My little one allways comes home clean and knackered after a day and is always so excited when I tell him he's going to see all he's freinds! Great place for dogs to meet others and have fun!
Rude People
I took my dogs there last year the boss was really rude to me,even swar at me cause i disagree that it was their food making the excited and playful, baskliy too much them to deal with, I said it was just because they are in a new place. They are fine in the park,at home and with other animals and people, he didn't be live me and said I should change their well I am not changing nothing so I am not taking my dogs there again. I would trust this place, by the looks of some of the poeple reviews on here they are not really that good to the dogs.
learn to spell
Please if you have a genuine problem then contact us because we are getting sick of people making up. Its so easy just to post something instead of discussing it with us in a constructive manner. We have hundreds and hundreds of happy customers and the highest rated licence which is spot checked several times a year, we also have completed 5 apprenticeships helped every local school and had special needs school use us regularly, we assess dogs in hospitals raised a lot of money for charity, rehoused over 15 dogs and stopped numerous dogs being put dog through training as had become aggressive so please if you really have a problem you would have contacted us. Nick Parkinson
Learn to spell please it doesn't do you any favours and I have never sworn at a client so know this is a smear campaign by a couple of disgrumpled ex staff. Perhaps ask yourself why we are awarded 5 stars and i have clients now who have been with us for over 10 years.
Silly phone put it on here twice.
I mean they looked really good and on the facebook it looked great but after what happened with my dogs I would not take them back . I did trust this place but after that day and reading some of reviews on here I don't trust them now. My two lovely german shepherds deserve better. So now they stay at home with my sister, while I am at work.

Time Wasters
My 4 year old Dog Sia (German Shepard) was taken there for an induction and potential boarding as we had booked a family holiday, the initial induction went well she was overly excited which concerned them and the person I dealt with suggested she may be on a high protein food and we should consider changing to a lower protein which may calm her down, personally I felt it was the new environment and she would settle given time, but to consider boarding we were told she would need to come again for day care which we going to anyway, so we booked her in for half a day as requested and again we were told everything went good, she was settling in and the other dogs had taken too her and the staff. We then received a phone call from one of staff looking after our dog stating the person I dealt with had agreed to boarding but we did need to book her in again to continue the settling in process, so we booked her 2 weeks before our family holiday but this time on collection the person I dealt with had retracted from what his staff had previously said and informed me that he would not be able to agree to boarding even though this had already been agreed too and she would not be able to attend the complex again as she needed to much attention was too excited, he then referred back too her food and if we looked into reducing her protein intake when I replied back with an honest answer which was no as it was not just a simple case of switching dog food, he stormed off stating I can not help you. Firstly I was not aslking for help as I am paying for a service and secondly to be told how all was ok too she can no longer use the service in a space of 3 visits with no other explanation other than she is too exited is not far from being work shy. I left feeling very disapointed as I had cancelled all other boarding arrangements and was enjoying the fact Sia was getting good socialising with other dogs. the person I dealt with is rude but I would like to say the other staff were really good with especially the lady who rang me and young lad. I would not recommend this establisment to nobody as it appears they only cater for dogs that are docile and do not offer what there website states and they have no integrity as a business.
total rubbish and you know it
Go to Wags, much friendlier and my dogs prefer it there, you had a lucky escape.

Love It!
Having experienced the hazards of 'not-so-nice' dogs in our local parks on several different occasions, we were at a loss as to how to exercise our young Bearded Collie dog safely, until thankfully we discovered Pawpounders Park via a plea for help on facebook.
This facility has been an absolute lifesaver for us, and we have been enjoying our stress-free hour in the park every weekend for the last 18 months or so.
Our precious boy is able to run free in completely safety, and we are so very grateful, - we honestly don't know what on earth we would do without this amazing place! :)

Awesome Place For Dogs
My dog Eddie has been going to paw pounders for coming up to two years. He goes every day and sometimes boards there. The staff are great with him, he gets the exercise he needs and is shattered when he gets home, also he is socialised with many dogs now. He gets so excited when we near the place he is like a mad dog. When i come to pick him up he try's to run away, also i have to drag him to the car. I do not know what we would do without the place he loves it so much . i cannot say enough good things about the place.
Many thanks to all the staff
