Disappointing Experience with Purus Life and BJS Delivery

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Purus Life and their delivery partner, BJS. The communication was abysmal, with countless phone calls and messages leading nowhere.

After being instructed to wait for a delivery time slot confirmation to change the delivery date, I was then informed that I had missed the 24-hour cut-off point, resulting in a £35 rescheduling fee. This appears to be a deliberate strategy to generate extra income from customers.

The customer service was unhelpful and failed to address my concerns. I would advise others to think twice before ordering from Purus Life and dealing with BJS. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

Rude Drivers & Disrespectful Delivery Men/drivers

Drivers deemed it appropriate to leave the Dusk bed packages in the hallway where it would be impossible to close the front door. When I kindly asked them to deliver it upstairs to one of the rooms, one of the drivers became very rude and said I was "wasting his time". I was shocked because the BJS website highlights they deliver to a room of your choice. They simply dropped off 2/3 packages to a random room without asking and then forged my signature on the delivery receipt which is not only wrong but completely ILLEGAL!! Appalling dealing with these individuals who are supposed to be representatives of this company.

Horrendous Delivery Guys, Rude And Bad Attitude

Rude and very bad attitude by delivery guy / driver from carrier company called BJS DISTRIBUTION LIMITED in Milton Keynes UK

30 minutes before my sofa and chair arrived, I had got a call from the delivery guy / driver, complaining to me and saying he wouldn’t deliver my sofa and chair as Wayfair didn’t state that my house is on an 8th floor, but on a ground floor. However I explained him by call there’s a big lift available to be used.

30 minutes later, when they arrived. I came down from my apartment in order to help them and the same delivery guy / driver kept complaining although his helper and I were the only two people downloading my sofa and chair from the truck.

When we ( his helper and ME) downloaded the two items from the truck platform, the same bad delivery guy approached me and told me: “you are responsible for paying extra cost if I get fined for leaving my truck on the road”. After this new bad attitude, I had to cancel that service, called the delivery company and found the same bad attitude by a customer service guy.

In the end, I called Wayfair for a new delivery date with a different company which was not accepted. So I had to ask for a refund.

Frustrated! As I ordered a sofa and a chair to host my family which is flight to the UK from States for Christmas… so I have to seat them on the floor as there’re Not companies delivering within 1 or 2 weeks, I was waiting one month for this order.

Lovely Wayfair customer service team, but I will NEVER order anything else from Wayfair if the same carrier company BJS DISTRIBUTION is used.

Was advised of a three hour time slot day before then later on delivery had a hour time slot. Turned up on time and communication was good. Very friendly polite drivers.

Horrendous Non Service Provider!!

Absolutely FUMMING! BTW I have no reason to exaggerate or lie here this is an honest review! We have had horrendous service or lack of service from this company today. The team failed to deliver today because they "couldn't get hold of customer", I was waiting patiently and heard no banging on the door or buzzer, they claimed to have been there for 15 minutes trying to contact me. I had even left a note on the door with my mobile on just to be sure they had my contact details, this note has now miraculously disappeared and is not on the pavement where it would be if it dropped off (my only honest opinion it was removed by them before their proof photo was taken of my front door). They say they tried to call the mobile on the delivery account (my partners) but she had no missed calls or voicemails... more rubbish.We were expecting the delivery and build up of a quad wardrobe so bedroom and clothing was totally cleared for it, house turned up side down to make space. Having spoken to the furniture company (who have been as helpful as possible) they even said that it would have taken a little while to build the wardrobe and apparently they were running late so this attempted delivery is very suspect. Also there were no notes on the system which is also very out of the ordinary. She said the response from the couriers when following up was very poor and lacking details! Basically if they are running late they will skip your delivery to make up the time!!

The driver said they called the furniture company which is procedure when there is no customer to deliver to but the furniture company confirmed they had no call as it all be logged in the notes on the account. These guys are terrible liars!! This is a massive inconvenience now as we have to put our house back together again, take another day off work next week and try all over again!

When speaking to a lady in customer services she simply keeps repeating there is nothing they can because the "drivers attempted delivery so please reschedule" , I am also not allowed to make a formal complaint because I am not the customer... the furniture company is! Typical!

Tv Delivery

tv delivered and unpacked okay, one of the guys was fine but the other was generally rude and abrupt, having unpacked the tv he asked to use my toilet where he somehow managed to urinate all over the side of my sink cabinet and floor, then having stepped in it he then walked through my house! truely revolting manners and behaviour at any time let alone in a customers house!

Tv Turned Up Opened With Parts Missing

I ordered a TV from Richer Sounds. Paid an extra delivery charge to have it delivered the next day. The straps sealing the box had been removed and on further inspection I found parts essential to the use of my TV missing. Contacted BJS to enquire why my property had been opened prior to me receiving it. The stated that they didn't want to clutter up my house with rubbish. Then stated that the delivery driver did it in the van. Then stated again that they cut them off in front of me. Needless to say I recorded the call and shall be getting legal advice about their actions. Kept on passing me through to different people everytime I called. When I rang the delivery driver to ask where my missing parts were he hung up. Never asked me to check the box and confirm the contents via a tick. All highly suspect.

Very Inflexible And Lacking In Common Sense

Got email stating will deliver between 8 till 21.00hrs the next day got a 3 hr slot after stating I'm at work, who can change work at this short notice, would not allow click and collect so I got a neighbour to be available. Left a note on inside of my window saying deliveries please call at no 3 for key (10 metres away.) Neighbour had key to let them in. NOT COMPANY POLICY. how stupid can you get, who can take a day off work at short notice for a delivery. AHH!! Remember the reason I could afford to buy a TV's is because I work. I will never EVER use this company again.

Avoid At All Costs!

We ordered a bed from Bedstar and they used BJS Distribution for delivery. We had paid for next day delivery however this was 'not possible' as they were not delivering in our area at this time so we asked for a refund. When the delivery finally arrived (3 days late) the boxes were absolutely filthy. I noticed this during delivery and clearly highlighted this to them on numerous occasions, and that the delivery personnel were badly marking the floor, carpet and walls when moving the boxes to the right room. They literally ignored me, even the fact that I was talking to them; acted like I wasn't there! They carried on and refused to stop, even though I angrily told them this was my home they were damaging, they can't pretend they can't hear me and eventually burst out laughing!

Damage was caused to our brand new carpets and walls. They wanted me to sign a delivery note that stated no damage had been caused to the property. I refused and immediately raised a complaint with the company we ordered with: Bedstar.

We got passed from them to Kaydian (the manufacturer of the bed), from Kaydian to BJS (delivery company) and vice versa. All companies refused to accept liability for the damage caused. After 3 ½ months of pursuing this we finally and with no apology or forewarning received a cheque of £80 for the damage caused!

I've never come across such rude, arrogant, chauvinistic, reckless delivery people and I've had a fair few bad experiences with deliveries!

Unprofessional And Inflexible Service

BJS is so inflexible with their delivery windows - they just assign one to you afternoon before - and that's it - you can not change it. I will refrain from ordering from any retailers who use BJS for delivery. Their drivers also have no clue what they delivered and if they delivered everything
