Utter Shambles

Utter shambles - DX Freight, Rotherham depot.

Firstly failed to find the correct address but took a nice picture of a property 300m away. Their on-line help took hours of waiting and was useless but they were told it was the wrong address. Eventually managed to re-direct to another address for delivery 4 days later, perhaps they can find this one. On the new delivery day they went back to the first wrong address. So back on the help line for hours and they promised to acheive correct redelivery the next day. But no, on the 3rd attempt they yet again went back to the first wrong address. Parcel then recalled to sender and refund requested. Don't yet know the outcome of this but you'd hope the sender gets a refund and even compensation for a loss of business.

The Most Incompetent Company I've Dealt With In Many Years.

Next day delivery delayed by one day. Then courier unable to find address, no other person has failed to find this address. On the phone with one customer assistant earlier re-checked address and she said it would be fine. I then got another message later in the day saying they hadn't been able to find the address. Google maps finds it instantly, postcode is for half the building. Then on the phone again with someone Cannock, who was rude, abrasive, needed details repeating over 4 times- he may well have been having a laugh at my expense. This is the most likely explanation for why he requested the same details so many times. 30 mins and unable to help at all. Courier 0/10, customer service 0/10.

Arrived At My Home Without The Item!!

Incredibly incompetent. Ordered from an eBay seller for 24 hour delivery. DX arrived 6 days late with no notice and without the item! Driver searched his van and couldn't find it! Tracking system doesn't work and I have no idea if I will ever receive this item and DX seem totally disinterested. No explanation or any attempt to sort the situation. They operated like bad actors a bad Carry On film. Still waiting for that delivery but not too hopeful!

Incompetent

After ordering a new custom built bike through an online bike retailer, it was dispatched via DX freight on an overnight service.

The following day, it didn't arrive, and I gave them the benefit of the doubt - maybe they were just really busy. Halfway through the following day I'd received no courtesy call or email letting me know if was on it's way or why it was late.

After THREE days of chasing DX Freight, including finding the local depot number and calling them directly, it transpired that they'd somehow 'lost' the bike.

The retailer was understanding and built me up a new bike for dispatch, however, this new bike was meant to arrive yesterday, and at the time of writing, having spoken with DX Freight, they're unsure as to the location of this bike.

How a courier service can continue to operate like this is beyond me. If you have the option to use an alternate courier, I would recommend that you do.

Incompetent And Dishonest

I ordered goods for next day delivery from Worktop Express. They consigned them via DX. They gave an estimated delivery time between 08.00am and 18.00pm. Not very good in itself but hey ho! I accepted the risk of that.

I had run out of work and needed the goods to continue by 2.00pm. So I sat in the front window and waited. The delivery had not arrived by 16.45pm so I rang the supplier, who (after calling DX Bury depot) told me that DX had tried to deliver at 15.29pm and there was nobody there. LIE NUMBER 1.

The supplier said that there was nothing they could do that night, so they would contact Bury and get the consignment on a 09.30am latest delivery the next morning.

09.45am came and went. managed to contact DX customer service. They contacted Bury who said that they had been in touch with the driver and he would be with me at 10.30am. They said that the order was never down for 09.30am delivery, just for an am delivery. So from someone LIE NUMBER 2.

They even gave him my mobile number in case he couldn't find the house. At 10.30am, he drove straight past the house looking at the numbers on the front. After allowing him 10 minutes to turn round, I called customer services again. They contacted Bury depot to get him to come back. He didn't return.

At 12.00am I contacted Worktop Express to cancel the order as I had to leave. They contacted DX and were told that the delivery was down for a delivery sometime that day, not an am delivery LIE NUMBER 3.

They then told Workshop Express that the wagon passing at 10.30am with the driver looking at house numbers was a coincidence. LIE NUMBER 4.

Delivery finally made at 12.40pm. Driver claimed that he had passed but that the good were out of reach on the 'headboard'. So why did he drive by? LIE NUMBER 5

I refused to sign. The packaging is badly damaged and the service was appalling.

If I was Worktop express I would seriously look at trying to limit the damage to reputation by ditching this bunch of incompetent dishonest people.

Awful Service, Unreliable And Rude.

We ordered some goods through Wickes, and the order was split, so some of it was being delivered by DX freight. We received a text from DX at 07:48 30/08/16 to say a delivery is on its way and this gave tracking details. I was in all day and tracked this all day with no change from 08:00 stating 'out for delivery from Bury.'

After 18:10 and it had not turned up I rang Wickes customer services and they told me that an attempt had been made at around 13:40? Well I was in all day and there was no knock at the door, no text, call, or update on tracking, so if they did try to deliver they must have stood outside without knocking. Wickes also told me that the driver had taken a photograph of my property, I asked for this but she said due to data protection they could not give me this photo. So I'm sorry but your alleged attempt at a first delivery is not being proven to me, and as I was in every second of yesterday I don't believe it.

So I waited in all day for nothing, and had to wait in most of today also. The delivery driver this time actually knocked at the door, so thankfully I have my delivery, although it has yet to be checked.

This driver quite frankly was rude, I asked if he tried to deliver yesterday and he said no, not me. He went on to say the problem is down to people ordering online...what the hell has that got to do with anything? Would he and his rude self have a job if people didn't order online? Probably not! I pointed out that if we all had huge vans we wouldn't need delivery companies...and you could all go bust! He did go on to tell me how many people order goods and then don't bother to be in to take delivery, well this is irrelevant as I was in all day yesterday. His demeanour was just rude and dismissive, he was being self righteous with his irrelevant comments and just ridiculous! I would not ever order from either Wickes or use DX ever again.

I think DX are an atrocious company who allow their staff to get away with whatever they want. Most delivery companies will provide a courtesy call to say a delivery is on the way when they get closer to your address. I think even Yodel who have had a bad name in the past have more decent people working for them. Never have I had such attitude from a driver, it begs belief how some people get work.

I checked late last night and the tracking details had still not changed, so what is the point in your tracking details? I have tracking details up in front of me now which haven't changed to say the item has been delivered. So for a start if they had not turned up again, I would again be non the wiser and sat waiting for delivery until 18:00. Secondly I sent an email to you last night and no one has bothered to contact me regarding this issue. I still would like to see the photo of my property from yesterday if that is possible?

I have actually done delivery driving in the past and mostly it is down to the discretion of the driver to give a courtesy call, so it goes to show there is no courtesy involved with DX. Also you are always told to ring a bell and knock loudly to make sure the person in their home hears the door from wherever they are and don't miss their delivery. I took two other deliveries yesterday, yours was the only one which did not turn up, or the driver didn't have the common sense to knock.

I think DX are awful.

Zero Service

Only delivered one of the two packages I should have received and that was seven hours after dispatch (which was the last update on the tracking system). Tracking system is all but useless. Absolutely no response to my comments made on their website. I paid for next day delivery, to be told that the missing item will be delivered as soon as possible tomorrow, is not really good enough, an approximate time window could be given. Mistakes and errors can happen and, annoying though they are, can be accepted. Lack of apology, information, or any form of customer service cannot.

Absolutely Useless

The service provided by this delivery firm is useless. They left a card in my door to say I was out when they wanted to deliver. I rang the phone number on the card to arrange delivery as requested, but they never answer the phone (4 separate 10 minute phone calls on 4 separate days). The card also left an email address to arrange delivery, but all my emails bounced back on 3 separate days. The tracking website is hopeless and gives no real information. They have both my landline and mobile numbers but they have never rung me apart from 10 minutes after the card was delivered - when I was still out. B&Q, where I had ordered the items, couldn't even get the company to answer on a different phone number.

Broken Promises

Received an e-mail from DX on 15th September informing me my order from Wiggle would be delivered the next day. It never came. Received a second e-mail from DX on 17th September reminding (?????) me that my order would be delivered that day by 12:00. Suffice to say it wasn't, nor was it by 18:00 that day. I'm still waiting for it to be delivered and for the next e-mail from DX promising a delivery date that will come and go without any delivery. This company are incompetent and have caused me great inconvenience. So much so that I won't be using Wiggle again until they stop using DX as their couriers. I suggest you ask your suppliers who they use and if the answer is DX Freight then order elsewhere.
